1. Rushden and Diamonds were originally two local clubs that merged, hence the long name. Rushden was one of the teams but who did they link up with?

Answer: Irthlingborough Diamonds

A number of clubs over the years had talked about merging but, perhaps understandably, faced strong opposition from the fans who don't usually want to join up with their bitter rivals.

3. Which club is the most easterly of the four below, and is one of the UK's biggest fishing ports?

Think of Grimsby and you think fishing. Indeed, the club are nicknamed the Mariners and their fanatical supporters carry large inflatable fish with them and sing songs of a fish-based nature as well as the traditional "We love you Grimsby, we do!"
4. Which of these clubs is based in London?

Answer: Leyton Orient

London isn't just home to the big clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. There are quite a number of smaller clubs there, too and keeping Leyton Orient company within the M25 that circles the capital are the likes of Brentford and Millwall, QPR and Barnet.
5. Complete the name of this club: Windsor _______ FC?

Answer: and Eton

As much as I would love to see the "Windsor Castle Royals" play, with Prince Charles in goal and the Queen of England commanding centre midfield, the correct answer is Windsor and Eton. Two towns that lie close to one another.

Windsor & Eton FC was formed in August 1892. It folded in February 2011. A new club Windsor FC started in February 2011.
6. Wimbledon FC moved towns and became known as MK Dons. What does the MK stand for?

Answer: Milton Keynes

Wimbledon FC may have moved to Milton Keynes but they left nearly all their loyal fans behind. Rather than follow a club that was abandoning them, they put their support and money into a new club, AFC Wimbledon.
7. Which of these Leagues is the direct feeder of clubs to the Football League?

Answer: Conference

The non-league's (amateurs) elite teams play in the Conference, with the top two at the end of each season gaining promotion into the Football League, providing their stadiums are up to the standards required.
8. Which of these clubs wears tangerine shirts as their home colour?

Answer: Blackpool

Blackpool have always worn the tangerine shirts and, depending which book you read, are nicknamed the Tangerines, while other sources call them the Seasiders.
9. Which of these clubs is not based in Wales?

Answer: Port Vale

Port Vale are Robbie Williams' favourite club and play in Burslem, close to Stoke.
10. Which of these towns/cities have two clubs playing professional football within their boundary?

Answer: Sheffield

Sheffield Wednesday's unusual name has something to do with only being able to play cricket on one particular day a week way back in the 19th century. Not sure what day it was, though.
