1. Super Bowl XI : 1977

Answer: Oakland Raiders

The Raiders won the game 32-14 over the Vikings. For Minnesota it was the fourth loss in the big game. Fred Biletnikoff was named the MVP.
2. Super Bowl XII : 1978

Answer: Dallas Cowboys

This was the first time the Super Bowl was played in a domed stadium. Tom Landry's Cowboys beat the Denver Broncos 27-10. All of Denver's points were scored in the third quarter.
3. Super Bowl XIII & XIV: 1979 & 1980

Answer: Pittsburgh Steelers

In a rematch of Super Bowl X, the results were pretty similar. The Steelers beat the Cowboys by 4 points. The final this year was 35-31.

For Super Bowl XIV, the Steelers repeated with a win over the Rams 31-19.
4. Super Bowl XV: 1981

Answer: Oakland Raiders

The Raiders jumped out to a 14-0 lead and coasted to the championship with a 27-10 final margin over the Eagles. Jim Plunkett won the MVP award as the quarterback for the Raiders.
5. Super Bowl XVI: 1982

Answer: San Francisco 49ers

Cincinnati posted 356 yards of total offense to San Francisco's 275 but couldn't match that output on the scoreboard. The 49ers won the game 26-21. The Bengals tried to make a comeback, winning the second half 21-6, but the goose egg they posted in the first half was too much to overcome.
6. Super Bowl XVII: 1983

Answer: Washington Redskins

Washington scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to win the game 27-17. John Riggins scored the go-ahead touchdown and won the MVP due in part to that run. He rushed for 166 yards and caught a 15-yard pass. His 181 total yards were more than the entire Miami team.
7. Super Bowl XVIII: 1984

Answer: Los Angeles Raiders

This was the second year for the Raiders playing in LA, having won two Super Bowls in while in Oakland. The Raiders beat the defending champion Redskins 38-9. Marcus Allen was the MVP.
8. Super Bowl XIX: 1985

Answer: San Francisco 49ers

Ronald Reagan became the first U.S. President to do the opening coin toss. Perhaps the former California governor game his home state's team good luck as they won 38-16 over the Miami Dolphins. Joe Montana was the MVP.
9. Super Bowl XX: 1986

Answer: Chicago Bears

The Bears dominated the Patriots 46-10. The Pats only touchdown came late in the game while they were trailing by more than 30 points. New England was held to negative yardage in the first half, and only has 123 yards for the entire game. Richard Dent was the MVP.

The Patriots scored first, the field goal. Then the Bears put up 44 unanswered before the Pats scored the TD early in the 4th quarter. A safety for the Bears made the final 46-10 margin.
10. Super Bowl XXI: 1987

Answer: New York Giants

The Giants won 39-20 over the Broncos. Phil Simms was the MVP. Denver held a 10-9 lead at halftime but couldn't stop the Giants in the second half. It was the first Super Bowl appearance for New York.
