Tim Duncan won the award in 2002-03 with the Spurs, but was the runner-up for it in 03-04. Kevin Garnett won the award with Minnesota. He averaged 24.2 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2.17 blocks. he was second in the league in scoring, first in rebounds, top 15 in blocks and field goal percentage, and top three in triple-doubles and double-doubles.

He also was Western Conference player of the month four times, and the first person to receive the award four times in one season.

Answer: Ron Artest

Ben Wallace won the award in 2002-03 with the Detroit Pistons, but was the runner- up in 2003-04. Ron Artest won the award with the Indiana Pacers.
