Answer: Mel Stottlemyre

Stottlemyre pitched for 11 seasons, all with the Yankees from 1964-1974. His four-bagger was an inside the park grand slam on July 20, 1965. It was his 2nd home run of the season. The Yankees won the game against the Red Sox, 6-3. Stottlemyre was the third Yankee pitcher to hit a grand slam. Spud Chandler was the first Yankee to do it, followed by Don Larsen.

10. Who was the first pitcher in history to win 3 Cy Young Awards by unanimous vote?

Answer: Sandy Koufax

More amazing in itself, Koufax won these awards in 1963, 1965, and 1966, where there was only one Cy Young winner per season in the entire Major Leagues. In 1967 and subsequent, the Cy Young was awarded for each outstanding pitcher in each league. Koufax was a well known Dodger great, and retired in 1966 due to arthritis.
