Nicknamed 'Knucksie', Phil began his career in 1964 in Milwaukee. He made the move to Atlanta with the franchise in 1966. Phil was in the top three twice for the Cy Young Award, and was the runner-up Cy in 1969 to Tom Seaver of the Mets. In 1977, Niekro's knuckleball led the league in strikeouts with 262. Never appearing in a World Series game, Phil retired in 1987 and was inducted into the hall in 1997 with his 318-274 career record. Phil's younger brother Joe played most of his career with Houston and retired with a 221-204 record in 1988.

Nicknamed "Scooter", Rizzuto debuted six weeks before the death of Lou Gehrig. Phil missed three seasons to the war, then came back in 1946. He was the runner-up MVP in 1949 to Ted Williams of the Red Sox, then won the MVP in 1950. Phil won seven of his nine World Series with the Yankees, and played with some immortals in the names of Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, and others. Phil retired in 1956 and was a Hall inductee in 1994.

Born Prince Semien Fielder, Prince is the son of slugger Cecil Fielder who retired in 1998. Prince began his career in 2005 as a 21-year old Brewer. He hit 50 home runs in 2007 to lead the league which gave him his first All-Star appearance. He finished third in the MVP voting behind Jimmy Rollins and Matt Holliday for his efforts.

After the 2013 season, the Tigers traded him to the Rangers for Ian Kinsler.

His MVP in 1945 came over Tommy Holmes of the Braves and Red Barrett of the Cardinals. Phil hit only six home runs in that season. At the age of 94, Cavarretta died in 2010.
