Roger Connor hit the first grand slam on September 10, 1881. Roger played from 1880 to 1897 as a member of the Troy Trojans, New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals.
2. What pitcher pitched the first no-hit complete game?

Answer: George Bradley

Bradley, pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals, pitched the first ever no-hitter against Tommy Bond and the Hartford Dark Blues on July 15, 1876. George Bradley had a nine year career winning 171 games, including 45 wins, the year he pitched the no-hitter.
3. Of the pitchers listed, who allowed the most grand slam homers against them?

Answer: Jim Kaat

Jim Kaat allowed nine grand slams against him. Kaat played from 1959 to 1983 and had 283 wins. He played for the Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, and the St. Louis Cardinals, over a 25 year career.
4. Against what team did the great Nolan Ryan throw his first no-hitter?

On September 20, 1900, Tannehill became the first pitcher to steal home. Tannehill played for the Pittsburgh Pirates when he accomplished this. Tannehill pitched 15 years in the major leagues compiling a 197-116 record. His best year was 1898 when he posted 25 wins for the Pirates.
6. What player accomplished the first unassisted triple play?

Answer: Neal Ball

Ball, a shortstop, accomplished this on July 19, 1909, while playing for the Cleveland Naps. The batter who hit into the triple play was Amby McConnell of the Boston Red Sox.
7. Who was the first rookie to have at least 200 hits?

Answer: Jimmy Williams

Williams had 219 hits during the 1899 season. Williams was an infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates during his rookie season, which saw him have 219 hits, 9 homers, and 116 RBIs. Williams went on to play for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, and St. Louis Browns over his 9 year career.
8. What brothers have the most combined wins in the major leagues?

Answer: Phil and Joe Niekro

The Niekro brothers posted 539 combined wins (Phil had 318 in 24 years and Joe had 221 in 22 years). The Perry's posted 529 wins, the Clarkson's had 383 and the Mathewson's posted 373. Of the 373 wins by the Mathewson's, Christy had all of them. Brother Henry posted an 0-1 record in a 2 year career.
9. What was the first team to have four players homer consecutively?

Answer: Milwaukee Braves

On June 8, 1961, Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Joe Adcock, and Frank Thomas, hit 4 consecutive home runs in the seventh inning.
10. What team has hit 10 home runs in game in 1987?

Answer: Toronto Blue Jays

On September 14, 1987, the Blue Jays hit 10 homers against the Baltimore Orioles. Ernie Whitt had 3, George Bell and Rance Mulliniks each had 2, and Fred McGriff, Rob Ducey, and Lloyd Moseby each had 1. The Blue Jays won that game 18-3.
