Answer: Stefan Eberharter

After becoming a double World Champion at the age 21 in Super-G and combined as the youngest member of the Austrian squad, Stefan struggled with injuries in the following seasons. He lost his spot on the National team after more disappointing results, but he qualified himself back into the team in 1997. The rest is history, and Stefan won a silver medal at the Nagano Winter Olympics.

Strobl is actually only classical downhill skier of those four, with the rest being slalom specialists.
3. When did Hanny Wenzel win her first Overall World Cup ?

Answer: 1978

Wenzel competed for Liechtenstein. She had won 33 events in all alpine specialities and four gold medals in Olympic and World Championships.

Tomba won W.C. only once(1995), Stenmark three times (1976,1977,1978) and Wenzel 1980.

Cavagnoud died at the age 31 of head injuries sustained in a violent collision with a German ski trainer while training downhill. She won the Super-G World Cup title 2000/2001. Basis and Kostner were injured and hospitalized in 2002, but both made full recoveries. Beltrametti was paralysed after his terrible chrash at Val d'iseire in December of 2001.
