Answer: OJ Simpson

OJ Simpson went to USC in 1967-68. He was a Heisman Trophy award-winning running back but also ran track. The world record breaking sprint relay was at the NCAA Track Championships at Provo, Utah in 1967. He was a first-overall draft pick for the Bills in 1969. Dennis, Miller, and Moore were also running backs for the Bills, but none attended USC.
2. Who was the first 1000-yard American Football League rusher that played for the Bills?

Answer: Cookie Gilchrist

Carlton Chester "Cookie" Gilchrist started out as a Canadian Football League star then played for the Bills from 1962-1964. In the year he became the first 1000-yard rusher, he had 1096 yards and 13 touchdowns, which at the time was also an AFL record. He was the 1962 AFL MVP. Carlton, Crockett, and Warlick were all on the 1962 Bills' roster.
3. What positions did Butch Byrd play for the Bills from 1964-1970?

George Edward "Butch" Byrd was a fourth round draft pick by the Bills out of Boston University. From 1960 through the 2007 season, Butch held the Bills' team record for interceptions (40), interception return yards (666) and interceptions returned for touchdowns (5). One famous moment was when he returned a punt for a touchdown in the 1965 AFL Championship game vs the San Diego Chargers.
