1. Which 1960s Formula 1 driver was known as the "King of Monaco" or "Mr Monaco".

Answer: Graham Hill

Graham Hill was a British Formula 1 driver and two time World Champion. He was so nicknamed because he was the first driver to win the Monaco Grand Prix 5 times in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1968 and 1969.
2. How many race leaders did the 1965 Monaco Grand Prix have?

Answer: 4

The race had 100 laps. Graham Hill lead from 1 -24 and again from 65 - 100. Jackie Stewart lead the from 25 -29, Jack Brabham from 34 - 42 and Lorenzo Bandini from 30 -33 and again from 43 -64. Graham Hill won the race, Bandini came second and Jackie Stewart came in third. It was Stewart's first podium finish and the first time he lead a race in his career.
3. The 1987 Monaco Grand Prix was held on 31 May. The winner of the Grand Prix was arrested the next day in Monaco. Who was this driver?

Answer: Ayrton Senna

This was the first time that Ayrton Senna won the Monaco Grand Prix. He won the Monaco Grand Prix a total of 6 times, 5 of which were consecutive wins (being 1989 - 1993). He was arrested on 1 June 1987 for driving his motorbike without a helmet, but was released later that afternoon.
4. In the history of the Monaco Grand Prix two drivers ended up in the harbour. Who were these two drivers?

Answer: Alberto Ascari & Paul Hawkins

Alberto Ascari crashed into the harbour at the Grand Prix on 22 May 1955 and Paul Hawkins crashed into the harbour 10 years later on 30 May 1965. Both survived these crashes. Ascari died 4 days after his harbour crash on 26 May 1955 after he crashed during a test drive at Monza. He was not supposed to drive but decided to try a few laps. Paul Hawkins died on 26 May 1969 when his car crashed at the 1969 RAC Tourist Trophy.
It's unlikely that a modern-ear driver would end up in the harbour due to safety rules and regulations which governs the modern races.
5. Which driver was denied almost certain victory at the 2015 Monaco Grand Prix after a pit stop mistake?

Answer: Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton dominated the race from pole position, but on lap 64 the virtual safety car and eventually an actual safety car was deployed when a crash between Max Verstappen and Roman Grosjean occurred. With 13 laps to go, Mercedes pitted Hamilton for new tyres which led to his team mate Nico Rosberg taking the lead and Sebastian Vettel taking second place. With 8 laps to go (after the safety car came in) Hamilton was unable to pass Vettel and he ended the race in 3rd place. With this win Rosberg joined the league of racing drivers who have won Monaco on three consecutive occasions.

Answer: Lamborghini Countach

The first safety car used was a yellow Porsche 914 and was deployed at the 1973 Canadian Grand Prix after Jody Scheckter and Francois Cevert collided on the 32nd lap. Safety cars were officially introduced in Formula 1 in 1993. During 1980 - 1983 the Laborghini Countach was used a safety car during the Monaco Grand Prix.

Answer: Rosberg

Keke Rosberg won the Monaco Grand Prix in 1983 and Nico Rosberg won the Grand Prix for the first time in 2013. Although father and son, Keke is finnish and Nico is German. Both have lived in Monaco for at least parts of their lives.

Answer: 10

Of the 20 cars that started the Grand Prix only 10 finished. 5 of these drivers retired due to an accident or collision damage. These retirees included Michael Schumacher. Two drivers retired due to engine problems, two due to gearbox failure and one driver retired due to transmission problems. The race was won by Jarno Trulli.
9. The Monaco Grand Prix forms part of the so-called "Triple Crown" of Motor Racing?

Answer: True

The Monaco Grand Prix along with the Indy 500 and Le Mans forms the "Triple Crown" of Motor Racing. A driver who wins all three races are awarded this unofficial title. Several drivers have won 2 of the 3 races, but only Graham Hill has been able to win the Triple Crown. Hill won the Indy 500 in 1966 and Le Mans in 1972.
10. Which two teams ran only one car each during the 1994 Monaco Grand Prix?

Answer: Williams & Simtek

This was the first race after the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix in where both Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger were involved in fatal crashes. Their teams Williams (Senna) and Simtek (Ratzenberger) both ran only one car during the racing weekend at Monaco. Michael Schumacher won the race after 78 laps.
