Answer: Rod Carew

Carew played for 19 seasons from 1967-1985. All his batting titles and awards came with the Twins, and his last batting title was in 1978. The Twins traded Rod in 1979 to the Angels for four players. Then all his batting titles and awards stopped in his seven seasons with the Angels. His MVP came in 1977, and the Hall of Fame took him in 1991.

Answer: Walter Alston

Alston played in only one game in his career with the 1936 St. Louis Cardinals. He struck out in his only at-bat. He took the reins of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1954, made the move with the team to Los Angeles in 1958, and retired in 1976. He took the Dodgers to seven World Series while winning four. Lasorda picked up the team with four games left in the 1976 season, then retired in 1996. Both managers were elected to the Hall of Fame.

Big Mac won the NL Rookie of the Year Award in 1959, then the NL MVP 10 years later. He cranked out 521 home runs. Aaron's number 44 was retired by the Braves, and Jackson's 44 was retired by the Yankees. They are all 500 Home Run Club members.

Fisk split his 24-season career between the Red Sox and White Sox. He wore 27 with Boston and 72 with Chicago. Carlton was a 1972 AL MVP, then retired in 1993. Fisk was the first Major League player to have a number retired in the 70s range.

Larry also managed the Astros, and was the National League Manager of the Year in 1998. He guided them to win 102 games in that season, the first time the Astros topped the 100-win mark.

They lost in the NLDS to the Padres. The Astros also retired Mike Scott's number 33.

Answer: Mel Ott

Ott played his entire career with the Giants from 1926-1947. He hit 511 home runs in the number 4. Ott is a member of the Hall of Fame, along with other number 4s in the names of Luke Appling- White Sox, Earl Weaver- Orioles, Duke Snider- Dodgers, Ralph Kiner- Pirates, Lou Gehrig- Yankees, and Paul Molitor- Brewers.

Robinson was the 1964 AL MVP and 1970 World Series MVP. In addition to his consistent bat, he won 16 Gold Glove awards.
