Nancy's husband Judah dropped dead of a heart attack one day. He and their youngest son, Shane, were out walking together in their home town. Jeffery Dean Morgan played Judah in season one dreams, videos, and flashbacks, but not in the "Pilot". Jeffery also played the father of Sam and Dean in season one of "Supernatural", and Denny on "Grey's Anatomy".

Andy is Nancy's brother-in-law. We do not see him for the first time until several episodes into season one, but Nancy and Conrad discussed Andy introducing the two of them. Conrad, in turn, hooked Nancy up with the weed business and Heylia James. Romany Malco played Conrad Shepard.

Quinn is Celia's oldest daughter. She and Silas (Nancy's oldest son) had been dating for almost three months. Celia and Conrad do have a one night stand in an episode to follow, and Conrad spends quite a bit of time flirting with Nancy throughout season one.

After the first episode, Celia sends Quinn off to a Mexican boarding school, and Silas gets together with Megan Beals. Megan is the deaf girl with the questionable reputation, although it came about of no fault of her own.

Shane Botwin and Isabelle Hodes both played soccer. Isabelle is Celia's youngest daughter. She and Shane's team were playing against each other in the first episode. We hear the team name when Devon is injured and Shane volunteers to take his place. Devon is cruel to Shane, calling him orphan boy, freak, and vampire.

The fictional host of the show is a man named Carter, nicknamed Grizzly, who ends each program with "You can't miss the bear!" The goal of each episode to go out and kill a bear. Quinn does not seem impressed at Silas and Shane's fascination with "Bear Hunt". TV.com had the name of the program incorrect as "You Can't Miss the Bear", but Silas specifically said the name of the show when talking to Quinn.

Josh Wilson is the teen-aged son of Nancy's CPA Doug Wilson, played by funny man Kevin Nealon. Nancy sold weed to Doug as well as Celia's husband Dean in season one. Josh also sold marijuana to the citizens of Agrestic, only he handled the teens. Nancy only sold to adults.

He promised Nancy he wouldn't sell weed to children, but he did it anyway. She blackmailed him into stopping this practice after she spied him with her neighbor Mr. Wells. Josh was not worried about his father knowing he sold weed, but did not want Doug to know he was gay.

Answer: Quinn

Celia brought Nancy a pink teddy bear after reading Quinn's diary. The diary revealed that Quinn was going to have sex with Nancy's son Silas. So, Celia thought Nancy could place the teddy bear, which was actually a camera, in Silas' room. Quinn knew the bear was really a video camera and sweetly expressed an interest in keeping the bear in her own room. So, Celia gave her the bear.

At the end of the episode, Celia hooks the bear camera into her TV to watch the footage. Quinn had set it up for the camera to catch her father Dean having sex with Helen Chin.

Then, the camera switched over to Quinn gesturing obscenely to her mother and telling her exactly where to go. Celia shipped Quinn off to the Mexican boarding school in episode two.
