Answer: John Locke

John Locke was featured in the flashbacks for this episode and it was in the first one that he was employed at a store. A little boy came up to him to ask about the game that Locke was playing. Locke told the boy about this game, which he said he played with his brother, and then revealed the game's name as Mouse Trap.
2. Near the very beginning of the episode, Locke told who that he needed to have faith?

Answer: Boone Carlyle

After the first flashback ended, we went to the island and Locke and Boone were still trying to open up the hatch that they had found several episodes earlier. Boone started to become pessimistic about their chances of opening up the hatch but Locke told him to have faith. Locke said all they had to do was break the glass and then they could get inside.
3. Which actress played Emily Locke in this episode?

Answer: Swoosie Kurtz

Kurtz, born on September 6th, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska guest starred int his episode as Emily Locke. Emily watched John Locke at the store where he worked and John noticed she was watching him. He took her out to have something to eat and she claimed to be his biological mother. Kurtz played Emily Locke in just this episode for the series.

She has also guest starred on the TV shows, "The Outer Limits", "Touched By an Angel", and "ER."

Sun was first seen planting her garden and Sawyer asked her which leave he was supposed to use of the two that he had so she pointed to the right leaf. Kate told him she thought something was wrong with Sawyer so Jack asked her what Sawyer thought so Kate said Sawyer thought he was fine.

About ten minutes into the episode, Boone was sleeping on the beach and Locke came to wake him up so Boone asked him what time it was. Locke simply said it was morning so Boone awoke and went with Locke. Boone asked Locke what was up but Locke just told him to come with him so Boone obliged.
