Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Upon hearing that Detective Crowley had died, one of the Strike Team members punched out the window of their nearby van. Who smashed the window?

Answer: Lem

Lem, in a fit of anger, punches out a window of the van when Aceveda announces Terry's death.
2. According to Officer Danny Sofer, what is "rule number one"?

Answer: He was a cop. That means you knew him.

When Danny asks why Julien didn't show up at the hospital to support Terry, he told her that he didn't even know Terry. She then explains to him rule number one: "He was a cop. That means you knew him." Police rule number three is "Cop goes down, we re-establish our dominance on the street."
3. Officers Sofer and Lowe arrive at the scene of a man rooting through the pockets of a Mexican vendor who had been shot. What was the vendor selling?

Answer: Churros

After a struggle between Officer Lowe and the "robber", during which the crime scene is compromised, it is found out that the vendor had been shot, but was still alive.
4. Vic Mackey's son Matthew is jumping on the couch and shouting, "To infinity and beyond!" What does Vic call him to get his attention?

Answer: Captain Infinity

Matthew is shown organizing dinner forks into a row as Vic begins to daydream about the day he brought Detective Crowley onto the team. Vic is awoken from his daydream by Matthew's shouting.
5. Dutch and Claudette are interrogating Marlon Demrall, a suspect in the churro vendor case. He tells Claudette that he is hungry and will only cooperate if he gets something to eat. What does he ask for?

Answer: Cheeseburger

Marlon likes his cheeseburger "well-done...just like me. With everything. No onions." Onions give him a rash.
6. The Strike Team goes searching for some Intel on a gang called "Los Magnificos". They talk to a guy selling paintings on the street. What is the guy's name?

Answer: Van Bro

Van Bro is a wheelchair-bound painter with only one eye. He gives the Strike Team some good Intel on Los Magnificos, but only after he makes Ronnie buy a painting for $100. He tells Ronnie not to hang it in his bathroom.
7. During an off-the-books investigation into the Strike Team, Captain Aceveda and Dutch are interviewing Shane. Aceveda thinks that Shane is lying to him. What does Aceveda say that Shane does every time he tells a lie?

Answer: Squints

Aceveda and Dutch had Shane in interrogation for two hours, which doesn't go over too well with Vic. The result is yet another memorable line from Vic.

Aceveda: "I know what you did."

Vic: "Up until now, I've tolerated you. You come near my men again, I'm gonna lose patience. You listening?"

Aceveda: "I know."
8. The churro vendor ends up dying.

Answer: False

Claudette tells the boy that shot him that he DID die, but it was only to get a confession out of him. She told him that the vendor died and Marlon Demrall was taking the fall for it. Because the shooting was an initiation into a gang, the boy didn't want to let someone else get the credit for his shooting, and therefore confesses.
9. Claudette approaches her desk to find a birthday present sitting in the middle of it. What was the present?

Answer: Denture cream

It is not said who gave her the denture cream, but afterwards, Claudette's friend Ida arrives at the station to take her dancing. Claudette doesn't want to go, but Ida tells her that Franklin Green is going to be there, and his divorce was final two weeks ago.
10. Near the end of the episode, Julien is treated by his fellow officers to a "rookie tradition" at the local bar. What is this tradition called?

Answer: B & B

The B & B involves chugging a pitcher of beer, and then being introduced to the neighborhood welcoming committee. Julien is reluctant, but agrees only after Danny tells him police rule number seven: "Those guys might be overgrown frat boys, but someday they could be the only thing that comes between you and a bullet."
