The episode opened up with Kate walking along the beach and she went over to look at the book Sawyer was reading. She picked it up and then Sawyer yelled out to her since he was taking a swim in the ocean. Sawyer started to get up out of the water and, as he did, he informed Kate the book was about bunnies.

Sawyer was featured in the first flashback and he was making love to a woman. Sawyer told her he loved her and then he commented on how nice she looked. He asked her what she wanted and she told him she did not want anything else except for Sawyer. They continued to make love.

The flashback of Sawyer concluded and that was when he started running through the jungle. Since Sawyer had a lot of money with him, he did not want anyone to try and rummage through his stuff. When he got to his stuff, he noticed Boone looking through it and asked him what he was doing.

Jack tended to Sayid since Sayid had a head injury so he told him that the hydrogen peroxide would hurt a little. He dabbed a little bit of it onto the wound on Sayid's head and Sayid closed his eyes when he did. Jack asked Sayid to tell him what happened so Sayid told him he activated an antenna and someone hit him from behind.

While the opening credits rolled, Claire relaxed on the beach and Charlie joked that he had a "morning delivery" and gave her a bottle of water. Claire thanked him and said that was sweet of him. Charlie said that he figured, with Claire's condition, it would be good for her to have some water.

During the opening credits, Jack tended to Boone since his face was all bloodied up and he had some other wounds and Jack remarked how he was running out of hydrogen peroxide. Boone informed Jack that Sawyer jumped him so Jack asked him why Sawyer attacked him. Boone said he looked through Sawyer's stuff to find Shannon's inhaler since she had asthma.

Sayid wanted to find out who attacked him the previous night so he first questioned John Locke about his whereabouts. When he asked John where he was the previous night around sunset, Locke replied that the only witness to his whereabouts was a boar that he killed. Midway through the episode, it was nighttime and Jack, Boone and Shannon were down by the beach looking for an inhaler for Shannon. You could hear Shannon breathing deeply so you could tell she was having trouble. Jack kept telling her to breathe while he and Boone continued to look for an inhaler.

When Jack found Sawyer, he told him to give the inhalers and Sawyer was being uncooperative so Jack gave him a couple punches to the face.

Jack continued to help Shannon and told her to start breathing through her nose so she complied. Shortly, Shannon's color started to come back and Jack was relieved and told her he knew she could do it. Then, Jack instructed Boone to look after Shannon and make sure she did not panic.

As he started walking away, Hurley was standing by and told Jack what he did with Shannon was "awesome" since it was like a Jedi moment.

Midway through the episode, Charlie and Hurley were talking through the jungle and Hurley mentioned to Charlie how food from the plane had been gone for over a week. Charlie asked him if there were secret stashes for emergencies but Hurley told him no, even after Charlie suggested Hurley and Jack had food in the cave.

He informed Charlie they had no peanut butter, no peanuts and nothing else. Charlie said there had to have been something but Hurley kept telling him he had no food.
