2.10 "Be All You Can Be" Trivia Quiz

The episode began with the boys watching a rerun from a classic show that featured Gomer Pyle given how the sketch appeared. Butt-head also made a joke that mentioned Gomer Pyle to indicate that was what they were watching. During the joke, he accidentally fumbled Olivia Newton-John's name.

The duo changed the channel to see what else was on the tube so they went to another program where someone brought up Rambo. He informed someone that they needed to utilize a lot of strength in order to take Rambo down. However, the duo was not impressed so they changed the channel again.

Beavis and Butt-head flipped the show over to another channel that featured an advertisement. After the commercial concluded, the announcer stated that they would now return to the film, "The Deer Hunter". In the short scene the boys saw, they heard a gun shot on the television set that excited them.

Watching a little bit of "The Deer Hunter" encouraged the boys to go see if they could possibly enlist in the military. They were seen early on head banging right outside an Army recruiting station. As they did, a visible poster of Uncle Sam could be seen in the background.

While the boys sang a song, an Army sergeant appeared to the boys to introduce himself and endear himself to the boys in the hopes of signing them up for active service. He mentioned his last name but stated that everyone had a special nickname for him: "The Rooster". The boys sang for a little bit longer after this introduction.

The duo commented about how much they enjoyed war songs so the Army sergeant then mentioned that they should come inside the office so he could help them find a purpose in life. Beavis and Butt-head mentioned how singing tunes was their purpose but he said he had something more productive in mind for them than loitering. This led the boys to enter the office to hear more.

The Army sergeant told Beavis how proud he was of his father for serving so he asked the boys to sit down in order to watch a video. The duo continued to watch the video as they brought up how honorable it was to serve in the military. The conclusion of the tape indicated how the Army was looking for a couple of head bangers to serve in the unit. Beavis and Butt-head expressed enjoyment over what they saw while Beavis mentioned how someone from the film bore a resemblance to Pantera's frontman.

The boys irritated the Army sergeant by fiddling around with a grenade so he grabbed the weapon and tossed it out the window so it would not explode in the office. He then sat down to go over the details on enlisting and asked the boys to sign their names.

The duo continued to aggravate him so he got out his pistol and warned them that he would not hesitate to use it on them. This caused Beavis and Butt-head to dart out of the office and head home.
