2.12 "Lawn and Garden" Trivia Quiz

Answer: Pruning trees

The episode began with Mr. Anderson inviting the boys back for some more yard work. This time, he requested that they prune the trees this time since they had not been worked upon for a long while. He provided them each some clippers in order to assist them in getting the job done.

After Mr. Anderson explained the task he would give the boys, he then mentioned how they looked familiar to him. He inquired as to if they were the same ones who thieved his lawn mower just a week ago. The boys were the culprits but fibbed to Mr. Anderson about this misdeed.

Mr. Anderson also asked Beavis and Butt-head if they were the ones who painted his cat from a week ago. The boys once again denied doing this even though they did harm Mr. Anderson's cat. He brought up how the cops would get the two individuals while mentioning having home owners' insurance in case something foul occurred.

Mr. Anderson asked both Beavis and Butt-head if both of them have ever pruned trees before so both nodded their heads. He then stated how he was once their age and it was then when he would prune his trees daily for fourteen hours. He also managed to mow the lawn after the fourteen hours of tree pruning.

Mr. Anderson went inside for a little while to enjoy a beer while thinking up how wonderful it would be to catch the two hoodlums who stole his lawn mower. The boys then went over to a tree and Beavis asked Butt-head a question. He was curious if a man would ever go to the planet Uranus.

Mr. Anderson noticed that the boys were slacking off with pruning the trees so he advised them to get a move on it. Beavis then asked Butt-head what they were supposed to do with the tree. Butt-head thought it over for a little while and replied that he forgot what they had to complete.

Mr. Anderson once again got himself a can of beer and relaxed while the boys started to work on pruning the trees. In one scene midway through the episode, he was over by a tool shed on his property sipping some beer. He also took a couple puffs of a cigarette to help him be more at ease.

Beavis and Butt-head assumed that Mr. Anderson wanted them to actually cut down all the branches to his tree. Beavis started to clip them off one at a time when Butt-head came up with another idea. He brought up how much easier it would be if Beavis simply cut off the bottom area.

Butt-head took out a chain saw in order to cut down the tree even though this was not what Mr. Anderson asked them to do. Mr. Anderson looked oblivious as the tree eventually fell down, then he ran off out of fright. As the tree fell, a couple other things were destroyed in the process, including an automobile.

At the end of the episode, the boys were out in a field with the chain saw where they located a grasshopper. Butt-head held it up and pretended to be a judge so he found him "guilty" of "trespassing" and "sentenced" him to death via chain saw. Beavis got out the chain saw to kill the insect but in the process severed off the top portion of Butt-head's finger.
