Londo has arrived at Centauri Prime at the request of Lord Refa. At this meeting, Refa explains that the Narn war will soon be over...with Londo's help. Refa: "I have good news. The war which began six months ago is about to end, sooner than any of us could have hoped. And you, Londo Mollari, will be the architect of our victory."

Answer: he wants to introduce himself to Sheridan

Draal appears to Delenn and then to Sheridan (just as Sheridan steps out of the shower..."a real live honest-to-god shower with running water and everything"). Draal says that he has been watching Sheridan's actions on Babylon 5 and is now confident in Sheridan's loyalties that he felt himself now able to introduce himself to Sheridan.

Answer: mass drivers

Here's a bit of the conversation between Londo and Refa. Londo: "Mass drivers! They have beeen outlawed by every civilized planet!" Refa: "These are uncivilized times." Londo: "We have treaties." Refa: "Ink on a page."

Answer: Gorash 7

Warleader G'Sten informs G'Kar that the Kha'Ri is desperate for a victory and their only hope is for an all-out attack on Gorash 7, where there is a Centauri supply depot. G'Kar argues that it is unwise to send the entire fleet to fight, leaving the homeworld unprotected.

Answer: Conspiracy of Light

Here's the quote from Draal: "I know Delenn has told you about the coming darkness. And, lately, I've learned about your role in shall we say...a Conspiracy of Light aimed at your own government."

Answer: Delenn

As Sheridan and Delenn are on Epsilon 3, making their way to the heart of the Great Machine, they have the following conversation. Sheridan: "Sure you know where you are going?" Delenn: "Of course. I have an excellent memory." Sheridan: "Positive?" Delenn: "Abso-fraggin-lutely dammit. Since our last discussion I have been studying your use of language. Do you approve?" Sheridan: "Well, we'll talk about that later. Left or right?" Delenn: "Left...I believe."

Answer: Shadows

While the Centauri fleet is on its way to Narn, the Narn fleet arrives at Gorash 7, where they are attacked by the Shadows. Some of the Narn ships try to escape by jumping back into hyperspace, but the Shadows manage to disrupt the jump point, destroying the remaining ships.

Answer: G'Sten is G'Kar's uncle

We learn this little tidbit in G'Kar's first conversation with G'Sten at the beginning of this episode.

Ivanova informs Garibaldi of the attack. Garibaldi then prepares his security team for riots that are likely to occur when the Narns on the station learn of the attack.

Draal says to Sheridan and Delenn: "In the long, twilight struggle which lies ahead of us, there is the possibility of hope."

Answer: onboard one of the attacking ships

In a very moving moment in Babylon 5 history, we see the Centauri ships bombarding the Narn homeworld with asteroids as Londo looks on from the window of one of the ships.

Answer: Brakiri

Here's the ISN report: "With the planetary bombardment in its fourth day, the Narn government continues in its refusal to surrender. Minbari, Vorlon, Earth, and other governments have filed official protests with the Centauri Republic for their use of mass drivers against the civilian population. But, so far, the protests have had no effect.

Although communication with the Narn homeworld is difficult at best due to the continued attacks, word has reached ISN of cities utterly destroyed, hundreds of thousands of casualties, the total elimination of power and water over most of the Narn planetary surface. Most of their major cities have fallen, food shipments have stopped, the planetary economy has collapsed, and medical treatment is virtually non-existent. Government analysists predict that, unless the Narn government surrenders soon, their entire infrastructure will be totally destroyed. To quote Senator Ronald Quantrell, 'They're being bombed back into the stone age.'"

Answer: sanctuary

As the only member of the Kha'Ri left free, G'Kar has been ordered to stay alive as long as possible, and to do the hardest thing he would ever have to do...ask Sheridan for sanctuary.

Answer: death of 500 Narns

Here is the full transcript of Londo's speech: "A little over five standard hours ago, the conflict which began with the Narn declaration of war came to an end. The Narn Regime has offered complete and unconditional surrender. The terms imposed by the Centauri Republic are as follows. One, the ruling body, known as the Kha'Ri will be disbanded and its members subject to arrest and trial for the commission of war crimes against the Centauri. Two. To prevent further acts of terror by the Narn against our people, from this day on, the penalty for the murder of any Centauri by any Narn will be the execution of five hundred Narns, beginning with the perpetrator's own family. Three.

A provisional ruling council appointed by my government will take up the responsibility of rebuilding a more civilised Narn government as a colony of the greater Centauri Republic. Because the Narn homeworld is now a protectorate of the Centauri Republic, we reserve the right to determine who can speak for Narn. As a result, Ambassador G'Kar may no longer represent the Narn in any official capacity whatsoever.

His appointment as ambassador to Babylon 5 is hereby withdrawn. As the only member of the Kha'Ri still at large, Citizen G'Kar will return to Narn for trial."

Answer: need for freedom

This comes from G'Kar's rebuttle to Londo's speech: "No dictator... no invader... can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."

Draal says as Sheridan and Delenn leave: "So much to do, so little time. We must get to work. Zathras! Zathras! Never around when he's needed."

Here is the ISN repor: "And dancing in the streets as Centauri Emperor Cartargia declared a week-long public celebration to commemorate the recapture of the Narn homeworld. In related news, the Centauri Republic today announced plans to annex several smaller worlds adjacent to Narn space, declaring them protectorates of the Republic.

While government spokesmen insist that the Centauri do not have any expansionist plans beyond retaking the Narn homeworld, others in Earthdome are less sure."

Answer: Sheridan

Sheridan offers G'Kar his hand after promising him that he will do whatever he can to help the Narns. G'Kar says this quote, a reference to "The Coming of Shadows," where G'Kar offered his hand to Londo after Franklin delivered Emperor Turhan's message of peace to G'Kar.

At the time, Centauri ships had already launched the war against the Narn. Despite this, G'Kar accepts Sheridan's preferred hand.

Answer: Rangers

At Delenn's request, Sheridan goes to the conference center where he is greeted by Delenn, Garibaldi, Kosh, and some of the Rangers. Delenn explains that the Rangers were created to fight the darkness and that Babylon 5 needs to be a Fortress of Light against the darkness.

Answer: Shadows

Sheridan: "I don't quite know what to say... For the last year, things haven't exactly been going our way. I was starting to wonder if it would ever get better. I think it just did. Tell the other Rangers, the ambassadors, everyone in this army of Light that Babylon 5 stands with you. Tell them... tell them that from this place, we will deliver notice to the parliaments of conquerers that a line has been drawn against the darkness, and we will hold that line, no matter the cost."
