He said that it was possible for him to get into the Gotham City Water Works through the help of someone. The certain someone was a security guard named Egbert, Alfred's cousin, who worked there.

The Joker and his cohorts arrived at the Water Works ready to do some damage and they encountered a security guard there. The security guard complained about his throat being scratchy so The Joker gave him a glass of water. However, the security guard feared something was afoul and did not drink the water.

After Alfred revealed that he was the security guard at the Water Works, he managed to get The Joker's magic box and freeze The Joker and his cohorts in time. He called Batman and Robin to come apprehend them. However, Alfred removed the key from the box, causing The Joker and his cohorts to become unfrozen.

By the time The Joker and his men reached Alfred, Batman and Robin arrived and a fight ensued. Batman and Robin overpowered them and Robin placed handcuffs on The Joker.

She asked the guard if she could call a cab since her car had run out of gas and then she noticed that the guard looked a lot like Alfred.
