The episode began at Wilshire Memorial Hospital where everyone was gathered in the waiting room to hear more about what happened with Jo, who fell down the stairs in the previous episode. Jake was with Jo and she told him how she hated being there and having to wait. Jake assured her she was in good care and they would let her know if anything had come up with her pregnancy.

Schuyler portrayed Dr. Dave Smith, Jo's doctor, in this episode of "Melrose Place." Schuyler played the role for a total of four episodes of "Melrose Place" but he had another role later on as Alan Ross, for which he played that part for twelve episodes. After Jo's doctor gave her the good news that her baby was alright, Jake decided to go out to the waiting area and let everyone know what he said. Before he said anything, he went over to Amanda and she commented on how he looked "dreadful." Jake told them all the baby and Jo were fine so Jo's friend, Teri, asked if she could see Jo. Jake said that was fine.

Romanov, born on January 24th, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada played Teri Spencer, Jo's friend, in this episode. Romanov played the role for two episodes. She has also had guest starring stints on the TV shows, "Burke's Law", "Just Shoot Me!" and "The Closer."

Amanda was near the entrance to the apartment complex so she told him how hard it was to track him down. Jake went over to talk with her and Amanda informed him how she was going to be with her mother that night on her birthday since Chas at D&D Advertising convinced her to reconcile with her mother. Amanda invited Jake to come with her but he declined.

Allison listened in on Jake and Amanda's conversation outside so Billy caught her and accused her of snooping. Allison told him how she believed that Amanda was stringing Jake along all the while she was having an affair with Chas. Billy told her that all she had was Chas's word on it and that affairs were much more complicated.

Jake went to a bar and found Hank there and mentioned to him how he was a good friend of Jo's, the woman who he pushed down the stairs the other night. He also let Hank know that Jo was carrying a baby so Hank asked him if he was a cop. Jake said he was not and they continued arguing for a little bit more. Hank swung a cue stick at Jake but he missed and Jake punched him in the face.

He then told Hank that the Los Angeles Police were on their way but that he wanted to get to Hank before they did.

Amanda was still at D&D Advertising in the evening time and Hillary said she was told by the receptionist that she could find her in her office. Amanda informed her she was staying late since she was getting a head start on a presentation she had for tomorrow. Hillary commented on how meticulous she also was for her own work presentations.

Near the end of the episode, Dr. Levin ran into Michael at the hospital and told him that he did not look okay and then said he noticed that Michael was doing terrible in his work at the hospital. Dr. Levin said he had heard how Michael had a meeting with the hospital board so he wondered if Michael was silly enough to ask the board for Dr. Levin's job. Michael said they revoked his position as the chief resident physician at Wilshire Memorial Hospital.
