Answer: Arlo Glass

After Jack Bauer had contacted CTU director Brian Hastings to warn him about the assassination plot against President Hassan, Hastings called together his main staff to give out assignments. When Hastings said that the information had come from Jack Bauer, Arlo Glass asked who Jack Bauer was. The others stared at him, but no one answered him and Hastings continued giving directions.

Answer: "I hate this place."

Jack Bauer had returned to CTU for a debriefing after the informant he was trying to get to CTU died in a helicopter explosion. The informant told Bauer of a plot to assassinate Kamistani President Omar Hassan, and CTU had identified a reporter as the main suspect. Chloe O'Brian thought they had uncovered the suspect a little too easy and believed that the reporter had been set up. Brian Hastings wouldn't listen to her so she asked Bauer to plead her case. Bauer did so, telling Hastings that O'Brian was "someone you might want to listen to", but Hastings maintained that they already had their suspect, and he wasn't going to pursue O'Brian's lead. Turning away, Bauer mumbled "I hate this place" in frustration.

Answer: Cole Ortiz

After Cole Ortiz prevented President Hassan's limousine from being blown up, Ortiz spotted the assassin, Davros, and followed him into a building while calling for backup. Davros pulled a gun on Ortiz and ordered him to call in and tell the other agents that the area was clear so that Davros could escape. Ortiz instead told them that he "was in pursuit of the assassin" and after a long pause added "he's with me now".

As Davros was about to execute Ortiz, Jack Bauer shot Davros.

Answer: Brian Hastings

After President Hassan had thanked CTU director Brian Hastings for saving his life, Hastings remarked to Chloe O'Brian that he saw the look on her face: "You think he should've been thanking you?" Chloe's response: "I was actually thinking he should thank Jack, then Cole, then maybe me". Hastings then tells her that he had underestimated her: "You saw what was really going on and I did not.

It was a major save. My report will state that".

Answer: Renee Walker

Jack Bauer was very concerned about Renee Walker's state of mind, and he insisted on driving her when she went to meet a contact, Ziya Dakhilov. Dakhilov was out on parole and had to wear a parole bracelet, and Walker said that she could get the bracelet off.

She put his hand in a vice and started a saw. He told her that she couldn't cut it off, and she said she wasn't "going to cut the bracelet". She then sliced off his thumb. Bauer came running when he heard Dakhilov screaming, and even he was appalled at what Walker had done.

Answer: Chloe O'Brian

After CTU had lost communications due to the detonation of an EMP bomb, NSA sent technicians to get CTU back up and running. Chloe O'Brian believed there was a better way of getting the systems up, but the NSA techs wouldn't listen to her. After Renee Walker told her to do whatever she needed to get the systems up, O'Brian pulled a gun on the technicians to force them out of the communications room so she could do it her way (which, of course, worked).

Answer: Dana Walsh

Dana Walsh was finally exposed as the mole when her number was found on Tarin Faroush's phone. She tried to shoot her way out of CTU but was captured by Cole Ortiz in the parking garage. She refused to talk to anyone but Jack Bauer. When Bauer came to interrogate her and ask her why she wanted to speak to him, she told him that he was the only one he could rescue Hassan (which she needed to have happen to get an immunity deal).

As Bauer tried to get more information from her, she brushed him off: "Tick tock, Mr. Bauer - you're running out of time".

Answer: President Taylor

When the Russians pulled out of the peace conference, former President Charles Logan was called in to assist in getting them back to the table. He blackmailed them into doing so by threatening to tell President Taylor of their involvement in President Hassan's death.

But when Dana Walsh claimed to have evidence regarding the Hassan assassination, Logan had to tell President Taylor so that she could have Walsh silenced or else the peace treaty would fall apart. Meanwhile, Renee Walker had been killed, and Jack Bauer found out that the Russians were involved, so he wanted to get Walsh to talk. President Taylor came to CTU to talk to Bauer in person and to tell him to "stand down", which led him to realize that she didn't want the truth to come out.

Answer: Charles Logan

Jack Bauer was determined to assassinate Russian President Suvarov, and he was using Charles Logan to lure Suvarov into Bauer's sight. Per Bauer's instructions, Logan called Suvarov and told him he needed to talk to him regarding a leak inside Suvarov's team. After he hung up, he asked Bauer if that was "convincing enough" for him, and Bauer responded with the above quote.

Answer: "Shut it down"

The CTU operations floor had been cleared, with only Arlo Glass, Cole Ortiz and Chloe O'Brian working to track down Jack Bauer before he was killed by Charles Logan's team. They were able to find him using a drone, and after he talked to President Taylor, Bauer's last words were to O'Brian.

She watched the visual feed from the drone as Bauer left the scene and then told Glass to "Bring the drone back to the base. Whatever happened here didn't happen. Understand?" and then told Ortiz to shut down the feed.
