The episode opened up with Billy and Allison discussing a boating trip that he had planned and Billy was telling her about the boat taking off from Santa Barbara. He also mentioned he would get to spend a whole day right off of Channel Island and how he would likely see a lot of wildlife. Allison asked Billy if she had seen his blue notebook and he told her it was over by the television. Billy asked her if she wanted to go on the trip but Allison said she had a lot of work to do over that weekend.
