When we first saw Dr. Steele, he was in his New York City office and his secretary came in to tell him that Michael and Amanda were waiting for him. She mentioned how they did not have an appointment and that Kimberly was on the line. Kimberly told Dr. Steele that Michael had an agenda and it would be best if he not see him.

Michael and Amanda were unhappy with the news that Dr. Steele would not be able to see them so he decided to take her to breakfast. Before they went to breakfast, they stopped into a Tiffany & Co. store and Amanda commented on how "Breakfast at Tiffany's" was always her favorite movie. Amanda then said it would be impossible for her to get upset while in a place like Tiffany & Co.

Matt stopped by the Los Angeles Police Department's headquarters to let them know that he needed to speak to someone in charge of the case involving the drug dealer that John Rowlings beat up. The desk sergeant made a phone call to let someone know of Matt being there. Matt spoke to Bob Wilkens, the head of Internal Affairs, about the night the drug dealer was beat up and said he had some pictures to show him.

John Rowlings confronted Matt and Jo at Matt's apartment near the end of the episode and he held them at gunpoint. Matt got up and told John how he knew that John did not mean to kill the drug dealer. Matt tried to calm John down but it was not doing any good.
