In the previous episode, Michael found Kimberly passed out and called 911 but he refused to tell the operator what the problem was. In this episode's first scene, Michael was speaking to an unconscious Kimberly and suggested that he perhaps play some Mozart. Michael started to laugh and he played a record.

He then told Kimberly that he had hoped she did not take all night with being unconscious.

Michael looked at Kimberly's hands and noticed that there was a note in it so he read it aloud. In the note, Kimberly mentioned that she had attempted suicide and it was while Michael read it that Sydney arrived at the beach house, overhearing him. Sydney accused Michael of killing her but Michael insisted that he did not harm Kimberly.

Jess was first seen swimming in the pool at the apartment complex and Jo was just leaving her apartment. Jess got out to talk with Jo, as he noticed she was carrying a box that looked heavy, and he offered to lend her a hand. Jo said she was fine and that she could carry it by herself. Despite Jo's insistence, Jesse took the box anyways.

Billy was first seen at Amanda's apartment and she thanked him for coming to see her before he went off to D&D Advertising. Billy stated that he was glad to hear from Amanda and he was pleased that her health improved, especially since she was in remission. Billy asked Amanda what her plans were so she mentioned how she planned to return to work.

Billy left to go to work and Amanda got a call from Michael. He called her "gorgeous" over the phone and he asked her how she was doing since it had been a while since he checked in on her. Amanda told Michael that it would be better for them to get together so they could talk. They arranged a dinner date for the next evening.

Billy arrived at work and entered Allison's office and she was on the phone with someone. Allison mentioned to the person how she was upset at them for not putting 100% effort into their work and she expected them to do their job. Allison mentioned to this person that their account with D&D Advertising was closed and then she hung up the phone.

Allison agreed to hire Amanda for a position at D&D Advertising since Billy convinced her that it would be the right thing to do, as the company was understaffed and Amanda was well qualified. On Amanda's first day in her new position, Allison welcomed her back and informed a nearby Brooke to bring Amanda up to speed on an account. Allison also asked Brooke to run downstairs to get her some coffee but Amanda volunteered to go.

Midway through the episode, Michael was at Wilshire Memorial Hospital and two police officers identified themselves to him. They said they needed to ask him some questions, as Kimberly reported that Michael attempted to kill her. Michael insisted to the two cops that Kimberly attempted suicide.

Landi, born in April of 1951 in New York, guest starred as Detective Hayes, one of the two police officers who questioned Michael about Kimberly's claim that he tried to kill her, in this episode. This was the only episode in which Landi guest starred as Detective Hayes. He has also made guest starring appearances on the TV series', "Walker, Texas Ranger", "NYPD Blue" and "JAG."
