The episode began with Michael and Kimberly in bed as they were waking up and Kimberly commented on how much she loved the sound of the waves crashing while she was with the man she loved. Michael said it felt like an execution since it was in the previous episode where Kimberly was about to drive off and nearly hit Michael. Kimberly told him not to joke about it.

Amanda received something in the mail so she opened it up and was surprised to see it was a videotape. On the tape, Palmer apologized to Amanda since he was sorry he had to say goodbye to her in the way he was. He told Amanda that Jake agreed to take him to Mexico. In reality, Palmer was shot dead by Brittany in the previous episode.

Fry had a small role in this episode as a cop who Amanda spoke to at the harbor when she went to go find Jake. This was the only episode of the series in which Fry had a guest starring role. He has also had guest starring stints on the TV series', "24", "The Unit" and "CSI: NY."

Michael went to Wilshire Memorial Hospital and encountered Matt there. He told Matt the news about how he had just gotten his memory back, which surprised Matt. Matt asked him when it happened so Michael said it was just a couple days ago. Michael said he was happy with getting Kimberly back as well as that he got his job back.

Campbell guest starred as Elizabeth Wyatt, Billy and Allison's new secretary at D&D Advertising, in this episode. Campbell played the role for just two episodes of "Melrose Place." She has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Beverly Hills 90210", "Baywatch" and "Seinfeld."

Billy was chatting with his new secretary, Elizabeth Wyatt, and it was in the middle of their conversation that Allison approached Billy and informed him she needed to talk to him about an account. Elizabeth left and, as soon as she did, Allison reamed Billy for flirting with everyone in the office.

She also commented about how hard it already was for them to be working together after their cancelled nuptials. Billy commented that Elizabeth was just introducing herself.

Chris went to see Jane since he claimed how he could not bear to eat breakfast alone so he wanted to eat with her. Jane invited him in and told him to wait at the table while she made some. Sydney then came out in her pajamas and poured herself some cereal but ignored Chris until he wished her a good morning.

Amanda was about to head out of the apartment complex but Allison stopped her to talk for a few minutes. Allison complained to Amanda about how awkward it was at work since her desk was close to Billy's. Amanda told Allison about how her problems were nowhere near as bad as hers, considering that Jake and Palmer were both presumed dead.

It was nighttime in Los Angeles and Billy, Allison, Jo and Matt sat outside talking about Palmer and Jake's disappearance and Billy said that Palmer likely took Jake by force. Jo commented on how it was no wonder that Amanda was the way she was. Jo mentioned how nobody should trust anyone and Matt stated how Amanda seemed to trust Jake. All four of them were relieved when Jake showed up alive.

Jane and Sydney spoke in one scene and Jane remarked about how she wanted Michael's share out of her business. Sydney assured her that she would get her Michael's share and therefore he would not have any ties to Jane Mancini Designs. Jane was hesitant about allowing Sydney a chance to get Michael's share but she reluctantly agreed to let Sydney get it.
