Sally was complaining that Brad kept following her in the hall when she came to see Dick at the university. Mary explained that Brad was interested in asking Sally out on a date. Dick told Sally she would go on the date because someone needed to experience sex and he was getting nowhere with Mary.

Dick was reading the Bible and he saw where the story was going. He told Eve not to eat the apple as he read along and when she did he looked at Mary and said, "Women!" Clearly he felt Eve was to blame for having eaten the apple.

Answer: Went to his apartment and broke down the door

Dick offered Sally several explanations as to why Brad had not called, one of which was his phone wasn't working. Sally decided to go visit Brad at his apartment, breaking down the door when she arrived. She then told him she was there to see if his phone was working.

At the end of the show we saw Brad sitting in his apartment with his right arm in a cast and crutches by his side, implying Sally had hurt him for not calling.

Tommy did not understand the purpose for climbing the rope and the coach expected peer pressure to work on Tommy so he told him his self-respect was at the top. Not understanding peer pressure, Tommy still saw no reason to climb the rope if nothing of value was at the top.

The coach had had enough of Tommy and planned to shame him into climbing the rope by threatening to make Tommy sit with the girls. Tommy saw no downside to this since girls were his main pre-occupation at that point in his life. Again he did not understand that making him sit with the girls was supposed to humiliate him but in Tommy's mind it was no punishment at all.

Dick decided he and Tommy needed to bond since the teachers at school thought problems at home were the root cause of Tommy's attitude problem at school as exemplified in his run-in with the coach. At first they started rough housing but as Dick said, that took a wrong turn rather quickly. Finally Harry suggested they bond by watching TV like their neighbor did with his son. Football was on so they watched that.

At first Dick would not admit to Mary and Nina that he was having trouble at home with Sally but Mary made him admit it before she would help. Once he did admit it, she turned him down. He said Mary would not have to take Sally out alone and volunteered Nina to go along. Neither Mary nor Nina wanted to go so Dick offered to pay and they took him up on it.

Dick had to go to Tommy's school to discuss Tommy's attitude problem but when the teachers tried to blame him he blamed them saying they were failing to educate Tommy and his generation properly. He said the fate of mankind rested with the teachers and they were failing.

As Dick was leaving the conference with the teachers he said his house was full of crazy people so of course he did not want to spend time at home with them. In this episode Sally had her meltdown over Brad, Tommy was acting like a normal teenager, and Harry was testing which things were toxic in the house. Dick was having trouble adjusting to all of this and the fact they were not listening to him as high commander.
