The episode began at the Highland High School pool area where Buzzcut felt it was time some students learned basic water safety tips. He informed them that he would be instructing them about it that day while Beavis and Butt-head stared inappropriately at the women. Buzzcut told them to cut it out so they obliged.

Buzzcut placed his goggles over his eyes and jumped into the water to commence the lesson about water safety. He first showed them a basic move of swimming called the dog paddle. He merely moved his hands in a way that symbolized how a dog would swim in water.

Daria was in the water demonstrating her swimming ability while Beavis continued to behave weirdly by making obnoxious sounds at Daria. She grew irritated by what he was doing so she told him to be quiet. This grew much praise from Buzzcut since he also was getting tired of Beavis's antics.

After Daria got done proving her swimming ability, Buzzcut called upon Butt-head to demonstrate if he was able to float. He could not locate Butt-head so he asked where he was at that point. Beavis pointed over to the deep end where Butt-head was seen drowning in the water. Buzzcut yelled at Beavis to go into the pool to save Butt-head's life.

Buzzcut noticed that Beavis had difficulty swimming so he decided that he had to save both him and Butt-head. Before he jumped into the pool, he told Daria to hold onto his clipboard. He then dived into the pool and eventually dragged out both the boys.

Buzzcut wanted to punish Beavis and Butt-head for fumbling the water safety lesson so he found out the perfect way to do this. He decided to strap them both down to a table and claim that they would volunteer for the CPR lesson. The boys expressed discomfort at having to undergo this portion of the overall lesson.

Buzzcut asked if any student would volunteer to provide mouth to mouth resuscitation to either Beavis or Butt-head so Stewart and Kimberly initially volunteered but in the end refused to do it.
