7.3 "Evolution Sucks" Trivia Quiz

The episode started off at Highland High School where Beavis and Butt-head were listening to a lesson on evolution from Mr. Van Driessen. The teacher informed them about the process Charles Darwin spoke of called natural selection. Mr. Van Driessen stated how the dumbest and slowest members of a species were selected against and died out.

As Mr. Van Driessen spoke of evolution, he stated that Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection that accompanied evolution also applied to humans. This was when he brought up the point that humans were also considered animals. Mr. Van Driessen stated how their ancestors once utilized primitive grunts to communicate.

Beavis and Butt-head started to laugh about Mr. Van Driessen uttering the thing about primitive grunts as the teacher continued on with the lesson. He also brought up the fact that the number one success on evolution had to do with successful mating. He claimed that the "winners" of evolution were the ones who successfully passed on their genetic material to future generations.

Mr. Van Driessen proceeded with the lesson when he started to discuss how certain things took millions of years with regards to their ancestors. He claimed how it took that long for them to pass along their genetic information to future generations. He also stated that walking upright took millions of years as well.

Beavis stated during the lesson how stupid these people were to take millions of years in order to just be able to walk upright. Mr. Van Driessen responded by stating how the past ancestors actually were quite intelligent. He brought up the fact that they formed societies and the male would be at the top of society taking the lion's share of food.

Butt-head started to get some ideas about evolution while he daydreamed. In his first daydream, he imagined that he was eating something while two women were caring for him. Just then, a small insect walked along the ground so Butt-head squashed the insect with his foot. He claimed that it was now officially instinct because of his actions.

As Butt-head's daydream progressed, we saw Beavis just a slight distance away from him who was complaining. Beavis rubbed two pieces of wood together in order to try and start a fire but it would not start. He complained about this while several people around him simply watched him attempt to start the fire but to no avail.

Butt-head was starting to get annoyed with Beavis over the annoying sounds he was making so he set off to do something about it. He grabbed a nearby club and walked right over to where Beavis was attempting to start the fire. He swung the club and hit him upside the head with it so he would be quiet.

Butt-head started to laugh while he walked away from Beavis and Beavis was starting to feel a little dizzy. However, he did not feel dizzy for much longer since he immediately rushed over to grab a rock. He then went to where Butt-head was sitting and hit him upside the head with the rock and then grabbed his club.

Butt-head immediately got up after Beavis attacked him and he eventually grabbed another nearby club. He swung it at Beavis and hit him so Beavis fell over but got back up to continue his fight with Butt-head. The two swung their clubs at one another for a little bit and then a couple dinosaurs walked past them.
