Question 1 of 10
1. One of my favourite young kid's TV shows was 'Moschops'. It seems very few people aside from me remember this show so we'll keep this easy. Aside from Moschops, Ally, Uncle Rex, Mrs Kerry, Great Uncle Doplodocus and Mr Icthyosaurus who was the remaining main character from the show? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. 'Thomas The Tank Engine' is one of the old time greats that has managed to survive all the way into the 21st century. Anyone remember the name of the green engine from the Great Western Railway? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Hopefully some of you will remember 'MASK'? Another classic about two elite squads of heroes and renegades. MASK (standing for Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand, let's teach kids to spell eh?) were the good guys, but who were the bad guys? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. I'm certain that at least ninety percent of you will remember and love 'Thundercats'. Can you remember, however, the name of Liono's spiritual companion and guide? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Both 'Danger Mouse' and 'Count Duckula' are fantastic cartoons with the same great sense of humour. The main characters of both series are intrinsically linked by the actor who voices them. What is the name of this famous British actor?

Answer: (Two Words (Could be a fool or a horse?))
Question 6 of 10
6. 'Defenders Of The Earth' didn't get the airtime it deserved in my opinion. Super heroes with families as well! All of the main adult members had children except one, who? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. 'Bravestarr' is another one that has really slipped into obscurity. This futuristic Lone Ranger had some pretty funky abilities that he could use, though. Which of these was NOT one of the attributes Bravestarr could call on? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. 'He-Man'. Everyone loved 'He-Man'. I'm talking about the original series by the way. All the others paled in comparison and Dolph Lungren should never have been given the role. Can you remember the name of the planet He-Man lived on? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. 'Mysterious Cities of Gold' was a cartoon series of truly epic proportions. If you don't remember it then it's because you didn't have TV or weren't allowed to watch one between 3pm and 6pm on a weekday because this series had 39 immense episodes. If you watched any of those you'll remember the theme music and be able to complete this line. 'Every day and night with the _____ in flight.' Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. 'The Transformers' takes the cake as my favourite of all these great shows. It also had the best set of action figures, ever. What, oh what, oh what, though, was the name of the Autobots' and Decepticons' home planet?

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Flower

It really pains me that none of my friends remember this show about the rather mundane adventures of the single funniest looking dinosaur I've ever seen. Basically Moschops lived on an island with his friends: Ally and Mr Icthyosaurus, with guest appearances from uncle Rex (A t-rex), Mrs Kerry (A triceratops) and Grandfather Diplodocus (no prizes for guessing). Everyone's lives, it seems, revolved around keeping one little flower alive and happy. Bizarre really but it had some of the best theme music in the world, ever.
2. 'Thomas The Tank Engine' is one of the old time greats that has managed to survive all the way into the 21st century. Anyone remember the name of the green engine from the Great Western Railway?

Answer: Duck

Duck, whose real name (apparently) is Montague, was my favourite engine when I used to watch this. Close second place was Gordon because he was biggest and fastest, but Duck had class. He also wouldn't take no jive talking from nobody.
3. Hopefully some of you will remember 'MASK'? Another classic about two elite squads of heroes and renegades. MASK (standing for Mobile Armoured Strike Kommand, let's teach kids to spell eh?) were the good guys, but who were the bad guys?

Answer: Venom

Matt Tracker was the leader of MASK and, ironically, the protege of Venom's founder: Miles Mayhem. Both cadres were made up of masked troops who all had special transforming veichles and could shoot nifty things out of their masks. Again, the music was fantastic. I used to get up half an hour before the show started to make sure I didn't miss the opening credits.
4. I'm certain that at least ninety percent of you will remember and love 'Thundercats'. Can you remember, however, the name of Liono's spiritual companion and guide?

Answer: Jaga

Jaga was originally the leader of the Thundercats who escaped from their doomed homeworld Thundera, but he heroically remained out of stasis on the long journey to Third Earth to ensure the safe arrival of his brethren. The journey proved too long, however, and he perished, but dissapeared Obi Wan Kenobi style to return and guide Liono.
5. Both 'Danger Mouse' and 'Count Duckula' are fantastic cartoons with the same great sense of humour. The main characters of both series are intrinsically linked by the actor who voices them. What is the name of this famous British actor?

Answer: David Jason

'Danger Mouse' followed the exploits of a British secret agent mouse, and his trusty sidekick Penfold in their efforts to defeat the diabolical Baron Greenback. 'Count Duckula' was about the last of a line of vampire ducks who had, unfortunately, been born vegetarian.
6. 'Defenders Of The Earth' didn't get the airtime it deserved in my opinion. Super heroes with families as well! All of the main adult members had children except one, who?

Answer: Mandrake

Flash's son was called Rick, Lothar's was L.J. The Phantom had a daughter called Jedda, but Mandrake the creepy-voiced wizard, alas, had no offspring. He did, however, have a proper magician's top hat which makes up for it.
7. 'Bravestarr' is another one that has really slipped into obscurity. This futuristic Lone Ranger had some pretty funky abilities that he could use, though. Which of these was NOT one of the attributes Bravestarr could call on?

Answer: Eyes of the eagle

I've always wondered how long the 'Bravestarr' guys spent figuring out which animals should be for which ability. Surely a cheetah is faster than a puma and a bat better at hearing than a wolf? It's all politics. Bats and cheetahs aren't as marketable.
8. 'He-Man'. Everyone loved 'He-Man'. I'm talking about the original series by the way. All the others paled in comparison and Dolph Lungren should never have been given the role. Can you remember the name of the planet He-Man lived on?

Answer: Eternia

Etherea was the name of She-Ra's planet, I made the others up. 'He-Man' was in amongst my top three shows during the 80's. Everyone was cool in it apart from Orko who was a big old loser, and yet he got to know about He-Man's secret identity. Why not tell Teela so either He-Man or Prince Adam could have got it on with her?
'Every day and night with the _____ in flight.'

Answer: Condor

This show dominated my life for so long. If you missed an episode you might as well not go into school the next day because no one would talk to or touch you. When it finished I nearly killed myself because I knew my life would have no structure.
10. 'The Transformers' takes the cake as my favourite of all these great shows. It also had the best set of action figures, ever. What, oh what, oh what, though, was the name of the Autobots' and Decepticons' home planet?

Answer: Cybertron

Optimus Prime has to be universally acknowledged as the greatest hero to ever, ever, ever exist. When he died in 'Transformers The Movie' I actually cried. Curse Megatron and half curse Hot Rod for getting in Prime's way.
