Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Robots in Disguise, Optimus Prime, Decepticons.

Answer: Transformers

It's been repeated a fair few times so everyone should remember this, plus the toys.

The series went from 84-86, and a movie was made in 85. My favourite Transformers from the series are Bruticus and Cyclonus.
2. Keith, Lance, Pidge, Defender of the Universe, Lions.

Answer: Voltron

"Let's go Voltron Force!" "Form feet and legs"- "Form arms and body"-"And I'll form the Head!"

How could you not remember that?

Most kiddies had the lion toys, and some still do. ;)
3. Penny, Brain, Mad agents, "Go Go Gadget Copter!"

Answer: Inspector Gadget

"Wowsers!" Made in 1982, with "Get Smart"'s Don Adams voicing the title character.

I made a mediocre quiz on this show if you're interested. They also made a movie which, trust me, avoid at all costs!
4. Puppets, Soo and Sweep, Matthew Corbert.

Answer: The Sooty Show

Sooty was the little yellow bear that liked to whisper, Sweep was the honking little doggie that used to dream he was 'Super Sweep,' and Soo was the female panda that actually had a normal voice.

This has has been around for over 50 years in various forms, beginning with Harry Corbert, then his son Matthew.
5. Flash Gordon, Phantom, Lothar, Mandrake, 2015.

Answer: Defenders of the Earth

Don't remember too much about this one, it involved each of the superhero's children (wait for it...) defending the Earth.
6. Tommy, Doctor Demon, Doom machines, "Rocket Punch!"

Answer: Tranzor Z

I'm pretty sure this has never been shown here in Australia, I used to watch the video all the time though, I'd love to see more of it.

Made in 1985, and based on the Japanese series 'Mazinger Z,' from the early 70's.
7. Bears, Care-alot, Rainbows and Clouds.

Answer: Care Bears

This series was about bears, who err... care. They were all different colours, and their name was based around their particular character trait eg. Trustalot.
8. Condor, Esteben, Zia, Tao, searching for ____.

Answer: The Mysterious Cities of Gold

Consisting of 39 episodes made in 1982, many believe this to be one of the greatest animated series ever, and I am certainly one of them.

A must see if you haven't seen it, it's begging to be given an official English DVD release.
9. Wardrobe, Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, Lion.

Answer: Chronicles of Narnia

You are most probably familiar with the books written by C.S. Lewis, but during the late 80's & early 90's, the BBC made an popular series based on the first four titles of the books.
10. Bomb, Penfold, Red Pillar Box: "He's the strongest!- He's the Quickest!- He's the Best!"

Answer: Danger Mouse

This was extremely popular back in the early 80's.

Hope this quiz has been a bit of a trip down memory lane for you, we need to fight to bring back all these classics and the many more I've forgotten!
