When Naomi forced her mother out of bed, we found out that Mrs. Clark has been depressed and unable to get up for several days now. Naomi threatens to go to her father, who has left the house to stay at the beach club with Gail, his girlfriend. Tracy tells Naomi not to tell her father that she has been in a depression lately, but Naomi does anyways.

However, when her father came over to the house to help, her mother was out of bed, dressed, and in a seemingly good mood.

Annie's father (the school principal) was supposed to be checking on the play, to see how Brenda was doing with it. Adrianna was feeling pressured and turned to drugs, and she was way too high to go on with the performance. Brenda had no choice but to tell her she couldn't go on, and asked Annie, her understudy, to perform as the lead female role in "Spring Awakening".

The party (and it looked like a big one!) was being held at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. Annie's parents, concerned about her relationship with Ty, didn't want her to go to the party, but she convinced them that there was nothing to worry about. However, Annie then found out that Ty booked a hotel room for their own private after party.

The Silver and Dixon flirtation culminated in a big make-out scene in this episode, at the big hotel pool party. In the middle of it, Dixon made a comment about having had a condom for four years, and on the night that he gives it Annie, he may finally need it. Silver got a little bit upset that he thought they were going to have sex, and told him they would be taking things slow.

He got back on her good side by saying that he loves it when she's bossy, and they continued kissing.

Fleeing from the hotel, Annie ran into Ethan and Naomi, and vented her anger to them, about her not belonging to their 'world', where people have sex with lots of people they don't care about. Since Ethan was with Naomi, Annie did not hook up with him, nor did she ever actually find Ty at the party (and it's a good thing too, I'm not sure that 4-year old condom would have worked too well). Annie ended up going home very early, and crying alone in her bedroom.
