Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where did the Wilson family come from?

Answer: Kansas

Harry and Debbie Wilson re-located their family to Beverly Hills from Kansas. Harry is played by Rob Estes, and Debbie is played by Lori Loughlin, of "Full House" fame. They are moving because Harry accepted a job as the principal at West Beverly High.

The Wilsons have two children, Annie (played by Shenae Grimes) and the adopted Dixon, played by Tristan Wilds. The Wilson family move back into Harry's childhood home, where his mother Tabitha still lives. The first part of the two-part episode was entitled "We're Not in Kansas Anymore". Part Two is called "The Jet Set".
2. What sport does Dixon play?

Answer: lacrosse

Lacrosse seems to be the big sport at West Beverly High. Dixon plays because his father Harry used to play when he attended the school. He quickly makes it known that he is a star player, which upset some of the players already on the team. Another main character, Ethan Ward, is also on the lacrosse team.
3. Nat Bussichio still runs the Peach Pit.

Answer: True

Yes, good ol' Nat, a father figure to the kids on the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" series, is still holding down the fort at the Peach Pit - though the actual restaurant has undergone some major renovations and looks more like a Starbucks now than the retro diner it once was.
4. What was the name of the student who delivered the morning news via television to West Beverly High students?

Answer: Hannah

The lead story on the morning of Annie and Dixon's first day at school was about the new principal, Harry Wilson. The news was read by Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez, the daughter of Andrea Zuckerman and Jesse Vasquez. Hannah was born at the end of the fourth season of the original "90210".

The current rumour is that neither Gabrielle Carteris or Mark Damon Espinoza will reprise their roles as Hannah's parents.
5. What book was Naomi supposed to do a book report on?

Answer: A Tale of Two Cities

The English teacher, Mr. Matthews, and the principal, Mr. Wilson, insisted that Naomi, the stereotypical rich spoiled Beverly Hills girl, must complete her book report that was overdue. Thinking that they were friends, Annie volunteered to help Naomi by letting her read a report on the same book that Annie had written a year previously. Mr. Matthews suspected that the work was not Naomi's, and took the report to Mr. Wilson, who recognized the report as his daughter's, and the girls were busted.
6. What is the name of Silver's blog?

Answer: The Vicious Circle

Silver is the name that Erin Silver likes to go by, another child from the original "90210" series. She was born at the end of the second season, and is the daughter of Jackie Taylor and Mel Silver, Kelly and David's parents respectively. Silver is an edgy outsider in new "90210" series, who becomes good friends with Annie. Silver maintains a blog in which she makes (often mean-spirited) videos of her schoolmates.
7. What is the name of Kelly Taylor's son?

Answer: Sammy

Jennie Garth is reprising her role from "Beverly Hills, 90210", of Kelly Taylor. Kelly, who was a psychology major in college, is now the guidance counselor at West Beverly High. At the end of the first episode, viewers were introduced to her four-and-a-half year old son, Sammy.

It was not said in the series premiere who Sammy's father is, leaving viewers to wonder if he is the son of Dylan McKay, who Kelly was with as of the end of the old series.
8. Where did Annie and Ty go on their date?

Answer: San Francisco

Annie was asked out by the richest guy in school, Ty Collins. After begging her mother to allow her to go, Annie found out that Ty was flying her to San Francisco on his private jet for dinner. When her mother found a matchbook from a San Francisco restaurant in Annie's pocket, she was furious that Annie thought it was okay to fly out of town on a school night without even asking.
9. Which old friend of Kelly's came to visit?

Answer: Brenda

Tori Spelling was originally supposed to play her role of Donna Martin on this new series, but because of contractual issues, she opted out. Instead, interestingly, Shannen Doherty is once again playing Brenda Walsh. This is kind of surprising because Doherty was the first original "90210" starring cast member to leave the show, and all rumors said that it was not a happy exit.

However, Brenda is back in Beverly Hills, and is supposedly sticking around for a little while.
10. Dixon's team's prank involved which of these?

Answer: pigs

When Palisades Hall, a rival school, dumped garbage all over the hallways in West Beverly High, the principal ordered the lacrosse team not to retaliate. However, they decided that they had to. Dixon's grandmother told him a story about how, when Harry was in high school, his team rounded up a bunch of pigs and let them loose on the other team's field. Dixon, Ethan and other members of the lacrosse team, with help from Navid, decided to recreate the prank.

Originally, Dixon was the only one who confessed to the prank, in order to spare the whole team from getting in trouble, with Ethan and Navid eventually confessed as well.
