In the beginning of this episode, Lois, Brian and Peter are watching the Redneck Comedy Tour. Although Peter thoroughly enjoys their antics and jokes, Brian can't stand the act at all. Peter says that it may possibly be the greatest show that he's ever seen.

In fact, he thought it was even more fun than watching stand-up comedy by Michael Richards with Cleveland. Richards, of course, came back into the news after racist comments during a comedy routine in 2006.

Answer: A Fudgesicle

After watching the Redneck Comedy Tour, Peter decides to change his 'identity' to a redneck lifestyle. To do this, he buys a large truck and brings it home to the family. Stewie says that the idea is more painful than the time that Peter ate half a Fudgesicle in one bite (which caused his head to explode). Peter also drags the couch onto the lawn and tries to make love to Meg to become more redneck.

While watching Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" (edited for redneck audiences) on TV, Peter decides to take up tobacco spitting to further his redneck identity. When Brian tells him to spit into a cup, he doesn't realize that it's filled with Stewie's apple juice.

When Stewie is about to take a drink, Brian considers telling him, but remembers the beating he took in the episode "Patriot Games" when Stewie became a sports bookie.

Peter feels that rednecks will try to get their messages across by displaying them on the back of their vehicles. To do this, he ends up painting his back window with a design comprised of the American flag and a fetus. Of course, when he does this, bad things happen, and while trying to display his artwork he accidentally crashes into Quagmire's car. Offering to drive Quagmire to work, he also crashes into Glen's garage door.

When Peter drives Quagmire to the airport, he ends up dropping him off right at the stairway for the plane. After Quagmire leaves, Peter notices the fuel tube for the plane and gets the idea to use the airplane's gas in his car's fuel tank. This later causes Quagmire to crash the plane into an open field, as he runs out of fuel on his route.

When Mayor Adam West gets the news, he is reading 'My Pet Goat' to a group of schoolchildren.

After the crash, Quagmire is fired from his job and he's forced to get rid of his house and belongings. Chris later finds him in his treehouse before the family invites him in. Meanwhile, the news is blowing the news of the crash out of proportion. Their most farfetched, computer-generated idea was what would happen if the plane crashed into a school full of bunnies while a single survivor went home to beat his wife.

Answer: A prom dumpster baby

Once Quagmire is invited to the Griffin household, he spends a month doing creepy things (such as putting his feet in front of Meg while he's sleeping). Stewie compares the experience to living with Marlee Matlin.
Lois dislikes having him stay with the family but Peter says that they can't toss him out like a prom dumpster baby. After a small event, Peter decides to talk to him.

After asking Quagmire to leave, Peter decides to help him with his job hunt (which results in rejection, though he somewhat liked the job offer from the Starship Enterprise). At the Drunken Clam, Peter thinks of a plan where the four can get Quagmire's job back. Quagmire poses as a passenger while Peter and Joe steal some uniforms and Cleveland distracts security by playing the violin.

They plan to make a situation where Quagmire can prove he can safely pilot a plane.

After Peter drugs the pilots' coffees, they realize that Quagmire did not board the plane. When the plane begins its nosedive, Quagmire is still in the airport (having slept with a check-in attendant. Disappointed, Quagmire heads to the airport bar and drinks away his troubles until Hugh Hefner comes along and gives him some helpful words of advice.

He rushes to the control tower to help.

Peter makes note of the in-flight movie while sending a mayday message to the control tower. In a scene that resembles the ending of the film "Airplane!", Quagmire leads Peter around the control panel from the tower and helps him safely guide the plane (though he destroys numerous aircraft and comes to a stop off the runway).

Although Peter is arrested because of the crash, he and everyone else is glad that Quagmire got his job back.
