In seasons one through eight of "Roseanne", the Conners instrumental theme song changes mildly in sound. In the ninth and final season Blues Traveler's lead singer John Popper adds his signature harmonica and original lyrics to the theme. John Popper also appears on the "Roseanne" season eight episode "Of Mice and Men". Popper plays Stingray Wilson, Dan's friend and former band mate.

The Energizer Bunny is the mascot for Energizer Batteries, he is always seen beating a drum while in constant motion. The pink powerhouse has been "going and going and going" in Energizer commercials since 1988, the same year "Roseanne" premiered.

At the show's end, Roseanne shares this, her conclusion:

Although the lyric is not a literal comparison, the facts are interesting when you consider the hardships the Conners face.

The final season of "Roseanne" fits nicely with the Conners theme song, as both end in a similar way.
