When Buffy and the others realize that Tara knows where Glory has Dawn, they decide to let her bring them there. As she's exiting the Magic Box she points at Giles and says "You're a killer!" During the final fight scene Giles suffocates Ben because of Buffy's inability to take a human life.

In the season one episode 'The Witch' Amy Madison's insane mother switches bodies with her to regain her youth. When Giles is able to reverse all of Catherine's spells, she becomes trapped in a trophy of herself. In 'Phases', Oz is seen in the hallway looking into the display case.

When Willow comes over, he tells her that the eyes of the trophy seem to follow him when he moves, implying that Catherine is still in there.

In the fight scene, with the high-school boys, in 'Help' Spike goes to untie Cassie. She looks into his eyes and says "She'll tell you. Some day she'll tell you." Later, in 'Chosen', Buffy tells Spike that she loves him as he's using the power of the amulet to destroy Sunnydale, which then saves the world.

In the season one episode 'Nightmares', all of the inhabitants of Sunnydale must live out their deepest fears when a little boy goes into a coma. One of Buffy's biggest fears was being buried alive and having to claw her way out of her own grave, which in this episode became a reality.

When Buffy dies in season five, she must AGAIN claw her way out of her grave when her friends bring her back in the beginning of season six.

During this episode, Dawn feels that Buffy and her friends are acting very careful and strange around her. She becomes angry and runs off to steal at the Magic Box. Spike accompanies her and as he reads Giles' journal to her, Dawn has several flashbacks of realization; including one of the giant snake stopping in front of her and all of the crazy people who have been saying confusing things to her.

When Willow's spell goes wrong, the Scoobies wake up with no memory of who they are. Based on personal identification items found on or around them, they begin to try and pice together their identities. When Spike comments on Giles' British accent, he notices that he also has one.

They both assume, at this point, that they are related and then assume that they are father and son because of their physical age difference.

While Faith and Buffy are making the bed in Faith's dream, Faith tells Buffy that she understands why she's so busy. She says that Buffy has to get ready for "little sis". This foreshadows the arrival of Dawn at the end of the season five premiere.

In Willow's dream sequence we are surprised to see Giles running a theatrical performance once again. (He hated it so much in 'The Puppet Show'.)In Willow's dream she arrives backstage for her Drama class and sees everyone dressed up for a play. Throughout season three, we notice that Faith does not trust others easily. In 'Revelations' Faith is telling Buffy about her failed love life.
