Christmas Eve in Salem 2004 Trivia Quiz

At the beginning, Doug was reading the book to little Zack while Hope and Julie argued about Bo and Billie. Doug asked the ladies to please quiet down because this was Zack's favorite part. He then began to read, "Up to the housetop, the coursers they flew..."

Answer: Grandpa Shawn

Hope said Grandpa Shawn had dressed as Santa at the homeless shelter that morning, and she thought he was on the roof. It turned out to be Bo, who had caught returned on a military transport flight in time for the holidays after meeting a very Santa-like acquaintance in the airport! Mickey dressed up as Santa later for the children in the hospital.

He surprises his daughter with a gift from her mother, which turned out to be a beautiful pair of pearl earrings. John told her they belonged to her Grandma Evans, and Marlena wanted Belle to have them on her wedding day.

While at the penthouse, Sami throws a fit about Kate moving in with John, Brady and Nicole, Belle's wedding to Philip, and so on. She goes over the edge when she looks for her photo and finds it stuffed in a desk drawer.

Maggie and Bonnie were constantly bickering throughout the night, since the moment they arrived at the Horton Christmas party until they were elves at the hospital, both claiming to Santa's wife! When Mickey said how nice Alice's house smelled, Maggie couldn't help but say, "It's especially wonderful, compared to Bonnie's cheap perfume. A person could get asphyxiated in our house!"

Bonnie was first to present her enormous, sequin-covered ornament with "Bonnie" written in glittery gold letters. She wanted to be sure everyone knew she was a Horton now! She hung her giant ornament next to Mickey's, but it was so heavy the tree almost fell over. Maggie commented that Bonnie's ornament needed to go on a diet. Eventually they found a place for it on a sturdier branch.

This one was sort of tricky. Jan attended the party hand in hand with Shawn. Billie stopped in after being invited by Jennifer, and she left early. Conner, Patrick and Mimi's little brother, was never seen at the party. However, if you listened to Mimi when she arrived, she told Patrick that she was glad they were representing the sane half of the Lockhart family and he told Mimi that Conner was there also. Belle, meanwhile, was at John and Kate's party and later at St. Luke's church and did not attend the Horton celebration.

Her message read, "Merry Christmas, Mom. Love, Georgia." It seemed her long-lost daughter wished to send a Christmas greeting!

As Jennifer was reading about the baby Jesus, she said, "Though Joseph was not the father, he stayed with Mary to care for her," and looked up at Patrick, who was holding baby Jack Patrick. It seemed the story of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus was like their story as well.

Alice and Tom's ornaments are placed last, at the top of the twinkling tree. At the end of the episode, Alice appears and is arranging the nativity. She places the baby Jesus in the manger, and looks over at a picture of Tom. She then turns to the camera and says, "To those we love, near and far, may the blessings of this day be with you now... and all the days of your lives."
