Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Answer: My So-Called Life
This teen drama series lasted a mere 19 episodes before being pulled from the air despite relatively good television ratings. One of the reasons for ending the series was due to the workloads of many of the actors and actresses on the set. In particular, Clare Danes, the actress who played the main character Angela Chase became disinterested in returning for a second season. Danes' parents were also concerned and did not want their daughter involved in any future seasons.
The short-lived drama focused on many heavy teen issues including child abuse, alcoholism, bullying, homelessness, drug use, and many other subjects. Angela Chase is a fifteen year old student who is trying to fit in and figure out her true identity. Enrique Vasquez, played by Wilson Cruz, is a fifteen year old gay student who is often abused at the hands of his uncle. Rayanne Graff played by A.J. Langer is Angela's best friend, but has her own demons when she struggles with drug abuse while Jordan Catelano, played by Jared Leto is the love interest of Angela, and despite his bad-boy personality, proves he has an emotional side.
