Having already been warned that his membership will be suspended if he doesn't clean out his locker in the club locker room, Larry proceeds to steal a golf club from a deceased club member's casket. Larry believes that it's the same club that he had lent to the deceased person's son.

Caught in a traffic jam on the way to a baseball game, Larry realizes that he's not going to make it on time. He sees that the car pool lane is moving, but he doesn't have a passenger with him. So he decides to hire a street walker and pay her to come to the stadium with him.

At the start of the season, Richard Lewis invites Larry to lunch and says that his health has taken a turn for the worse, and he needs a kidney. He hints that he would like Larry to take a test to see if he's a match. After finding out that he is a match, Larry spends the rest of the season trying to get out of it, but eventually agrees to donate a kidney.

First, Larry and his manager Jeff hatch a plan to get Larry and Heineman to meet. They crash Larry's car into Heineman's parked car and leave a note, offering to pay for the cost of repairing the vehicle. Larry then uses their meeting to establish a friendship with the him.
