Christopher Eccleston is an English actor who has appeared in films and on television. He has featured in these successful films: "Gone in 60 Seconds", "28 Days Later", "G.I. Joe" and "G.I. Joe 2". He starred as the Doctor in 2005 and has since appeared in the television series "Heroes" as Claude.

Answer: "Rose"

"Rose" is the first episode. It is all about Rose, the character, how she meets the Doctor and how their relationship grows. Rose is taking some money to the chief electrician in the basement when she gets caught in a room full of window dummies which come alive! The Doctor rescues Rose and her curiosity towards him makes her want to find out exactly who he is.

The pair of them end up saving the world from the 'living plastic' by tracking down the source of their power. The Doctor asks if Rose would like to travel with him and after a little persuasion she accepts his offer and the journey begins...

Answer: The TARDIS

TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. It is a time machine disguised as a police public call box. The Doctor can travel through time and space with this trusty machine, which is strangely bigger inside than outside. Rose first enters the TARDIS when running from the plastic Mickey.

She's so shocked at the fact it's bigger on the inside she runs straight back out of it again!

Answer: Cassandra

Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen is introduced to Rose on satellite 5 amongst other aliens. She is the only remaining 'pure' human being, although she doesn't resemble what Rose would call a human at all! She consists of a flattened flap of skin, some eyes, a mouth and a brain and heart bottled underneath her! Cassandra seems friendly but turns out to be plotting against every alien on board satellite 5, can the Doctor save them?

Answer: Eve Myles

Eve Myles is a Welsh actress who has appeared in many television roles. In season 1, 2005 of Doctor Who she plays Gwyneth, the maid to Mr Sneed and the key to opening the 'rift' in the morgue. Confusingly she also appears in season 4, 2008 0f Doctor Who as Gwen Cooper. She has also appeared in the Doctor Who spin-off, "Torchwood" and fantasy drama, "Merlin".

Answer: A Dalek

Daleks are the most feared enemy of the Doctor. They have no emotions except hate and will kill anything to make them the ultimate and dominant race. To fire their 'death ray' at an opponent they say 'exterminate'. The Daleks are first introduced in this season in episode 5: "Dalek". Here Rose finds out just how dangerous they really are.

Although the Doctor thinks this to be true he is proved wrong in episode 9 of season 1, 2005. The child of Nancy was hit by an alien ambulance that Captain Jack Harkness used to lure the Doctor to London. He died on impact but the nanogenes present in the ambulance escape and bring him back to life in a form they think all humans look like.

This form isn't correct, but the nanogenes don't know it and whoever the child touches they also transform. The child calls the TARDIS's phone and asks the Doctor if he is his mummy. 'Mummy' is the last thought the child had and it therefore stuck with him when he was brought back to life by the nanogenes.

Answer: Slitheen

The Slitheen are a family of Raxacoricofallapatorian. They are 8 feet tall, green and use the skin of powerful people to invade the government. They are greedy and want to blow up Earth in order to sell it for money. Their plans are foiled by the Doctor when he uses Mickey to hack into the Royal Navy controls and aim a missile right at them! But does someone survive?

Answer: He doesn't

It is Rose who kills the Daleks not the Doctor. The Doctor plans to set off a delta wave but it can't be refined and will therefore kill everything in range, which includes planet earth. To protect Rose the Doctor sends her home against her will, but Rose doesn't give up there! With the help of her mum (Jackie) and boyfriend (Mickey) Rose looks ino the heart of the TARDIS and makes a return journey.

She uses the energy absorbed to kill the whole Dalek fleet and bring Captain Jack Harkness back to life, before the Doctor draws the energy out of her with a kiss.

Answer: David Tennant

David Tennant is a Scottish actor who has appeared in films and on television. Films he has appeared in include: "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "St. Trinians 2". He played the Doctor right up until spring 2010 where Matt Smith took over to become the 11th Doctor.
