Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dr. Jason Bull and his team are first seen at Bull's company, Trial Analysis Corporation, preparing to meet a client. Dr. Bull founded TAC based on his experience in what field of expertise?

Answer: Psychology

After thirteen seasons on "NCIS", Michael Weatherly takes the opportunity to star as the lead in "Bull". Dr. Bull started Trial Analysis Corporation to aid both defendants and plaintiffs during court proceedings. He would choose the side he would take based on how he felt about the client and their position. Bull's psychology background allows him to study juries and give him and his team an advantage during the trial.
2. Let's move on to Bull's team. His right hand woman is Marissa Morgan, the one who created the algorithm that gives the team an accurate reading on the jury by finding their "mirror jurors." Which US agency did Marissa work for before leaving to work for Dr. Bull?

Answer: Homeland Security

Marissa Morgan is beautifully portrayed by Geneva Carr, and is Bull's right hand at TAC. She's responsible for the financial aspect of the business, often showing her concern to Bull when he takes on a case "pro bono." While she may occasionally question Dr. Bull and the decisions he makes, she never lets those concerns get in the way of doing her best work for TAC's clients.
3. TAC's in-house legal counsel is former ADA Benny Colón who joined Bull's team after being fired from the district attorney's office. Along with being a member of Bull's team, Benny was also a member of Dr. Bull's family at one point. What relation was Benny to Jason Bull before Bull's divorce?

Answer: Brother in-law

Benny Colón, portrayed by Freddy Rodríguez, was once Bull's brother in-law. Bull was married to Benny's sister Isabella for a time, and the two became close friends over the years from it, even after the divorce. Bull and Benny even defended Isabella in court in a wrongful death suit.
4. The right fashion and style is vital to how a jury perceives a defendant, and so having a fashion guru on his team is vital to Bull's success. That's where former Vogue stylist Chunk Palmer comes in. Before joining Vogue, Palmer was a football star for which college team?

Answer: Georgia Bulldogs

Portrayed by Christopher Jackson, Chunk Palmer is an openly gay man whose passion is fashion. After playing football for the Georgia Bulldogs, Chunk decided to move on from football just before the NFL draft. He went to work for Nella Wester, a fashion designer who taught Chunk everything he knows. Bull and his team even defended a young man who was accused of murdering Chunk's mentor.

Initially, Chunk did not want to defend him, however, Bull eventually convinces him to trust him and his process, and Chunk helps get him exonerated, and helps find the real killer.
5. TAC has their own investigator on staff that helps the team get to the truth during the trial. That role is played by Danielle James, who is a former investigator for which law enforcement agency?

Answer: FBI

Jamie Lee Kirchner plays the role of Danny James. After leaving the FBI, Danny joined Bull's team as an investigator. She often uses her investigation skills to find critical information and pieces of evidence that aid Bull in getting to the truth.
6. The final main member of Dr. Bull's team is a young and energetic computer specialist who uses her skills and contacts, to often turn the tide of a trial in TAC's favor. Who is this bright young woman?

Answer: Cable McCrory

Cable McCrory is brilliantly played by Annabelle Attanasio. Cable is known for her hacking skills and her ability to use computers to affect different systems. She occasionally intervenes, sometimes not legally, to help persuade resistant jurors to their side.
7. One of the first things we learn about Dr. Jason Bull is that he hates lawyers. Initially, the perception is that it's just because they're greedy, over paid people that just cause problems. Eventually, we find out that's not the case. What is the real reason for Bull's dislike of lawyers?

Answer: He failed the bar exam twice

During one of the last few episodes of the first season, Bull and Cable argue about being on different sides of a case. Bull is defending a company that is refusing to give the government access to its client records. Cable refuses to work on the case because she believes that they are responsible for the death of a friend of hers. Eventually she comes to the understanding that what the team is helping defend is vital.

She decides that Bull is on the right track when she finds out online that Bull failed the bar exam twice in the state of Texas.

She felt like she didn't need to know that, and decides to help Bull on the case.
8. Jason Bull may be an intelligent human being at the top of his field, but he is far from perfect. Jason never got along with his father growing up, and has much disdain for the man. Many of Bull's employees and friends believe his father is dead. Is Bull's father dead?

Answer: No

One of the cases that Bull and his TAC team help defend is an arson case in Connecticut. Bull grew up in the same city, and met people that had known him and his father during their time in Connecticut. Bull's father was not a popular man in town, and by extension, many people did not care for Bull either. Near the end of the episode, Bull reveals that his father is in fact alive, they just don't speak to each other.
9. Dr. Bull and his team do not work on military court martial cases.

Answer: False

They do in fact work with members of the military when they are presented with the right opportunity. In the first season, Bull helps defend Army Lieutenant Tamsin Dale after she leaks a classified memo. While the team was unsuccessful in exonerating her, Bull does aid in getting her sentence reduced.
10. The final case of season one has an interesting twist to it. As the case itself has connections to drug cartels, no one is willing to serve on the jury for fear of retribution. To fix this, the judge in the case does something unique. How is this trial different than most others?

Answer: The jury is anonymous; hiding behind a partition

Anonymous juries have been used sparingly in real life court cases, most of which involve drug or mob connections. Judge MacFarland, the presiding judge on Bull's final case in season one, decides that an anonymous jury is the only way to safely allow the jury to serve.

This makes it particularly difficult for Bull to best do his job in the jury selection process, as he often needs to see the potential jury members to read them.
