Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. All four members of A Flock of Seagulls reunited and performed.

Answer: True

The original lineup consisted of keyboardist and lead vocalist Mike Score, drummer Ali Score, bassist Frank Maudsley, and guitarist Paul Reynolds. The group had three US Top 40 hits, most famous being "I Ran (So Far Away)," but broke up in 1986. The original line-up went on a reunion tour in the US. The name still exists, but with Mike Score and a new line-up.
2. Who was the only member of Berlin not to participate in the reunion?

Answer: Rob Brill

Brill was the group's most famous drummer. Berlin's hits include
1983's "The Metro" and 1986's "Take My Breath Away." Nunn was Berlin's lead singer who once auditioned for "Star Wars." Bassist Paul Crawford became a born-again Christian and released a number of solo albums. Matt Reid played the synthesizer, Ric Olsen was the lead guitarist, David Diamond was synthesizer and guitarist.
3. Who was forced to sit out of the Romeo Void reunion?

Answer: Benjamin Bossi

Saxophonist Bossi lost his hearing and watched the performance from a trailer. The San Francisco New Wave band had hits with 1982's "Never Say Never" and with 1984's "A Girl in Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing)." Romeo Void was: Bossi, lead singer Deborah Iyall, guitarist Peter Woods, bassist Frank Zincavage, and drummer Larry Carter.
4. How many members of Haircut 100 were there?

Answer: Six

The group consisted of: guitarist and vocalist Nick Heyward, bassist Les Nemes, guitarist Graham Jones, drummer Blair Cunningham, percussionist Marc Fox, and saxophonist Phil Smith. The group formed in 1981 and a year later, the group reached the U.S. Top 40 with "Love Plus One." The group was actually considered destined for stardom, but Nick Heyward soon left the group for a solo career. Fox took over as vocalist and Haircut 100 broke up in 1984. The reunion was successful and all members participated.

Nemes later became a session musician for Hugh Masakela and Rick Astley. Cunninghman played with a number of acts including The Indigo Girls, The Pretenders, Roxy Music, Sade, Tina Turner, and Paul McCartney.
5. Whose refusal to appear on camera killed any chance of an Extreme reunion?

Answer: Nuno Bettencourt

Cherone himself had reservations of appearing on the show. The Massachusetts-based rock group is famous for 1991's "More than Words" and "Hole Hearted." The reclusive guitarist Bettencourt, vocalist Cherone, bassist Badger, and new drummer Kevin Figueiredo did eventually reunite with Extreme in 2006. Former drummer Geary managed a number of groups, including Godsmack and the Smashing Pumpkins.
6. The members of the controversial British group Frankie Goes to Hollywood reunited, but who refused to perform?

Answer: Holly Johnson

Frankie Goes to Hollywood was together from 1983 to 1987. The group had seven U.K. Top 30 hits, but only 1984's "Relax" cracked the U.S. Top 40. "Relax" was banned by the BBC due to its suggestive lyrics. The controversy helped the song top the UK charts. Three videos of "Relax" were made: An original set in a gay nightclub, one directed by Godley and Creme and using laser beams, and a third featuring clips from Brian DePalma's "Body Double."

Vocalist Johnson, keyboardist Rutherford, drummer Gill, guitarist Brian Nash, and bassist O'Toole got together, but Johnson and Nash had reservations about performing on such short notice.

Johnson was diagnosed with HIV in 1993. Rutherford moved to New Zealand. The other three members tried to keep Frankie Goes to Hollywood alive with new performers.
7. Who was unable to participate in the Scandal reunion?

Answer: Ivan Elias

Elias, the original bassist, died of cancer in 1995. The surviving members (singer Patty Smyth, guitarists Zack Smith and Keith Mack, and drummer Thommy Price) reunited. Kasim Sulton of Utopia, which featured Todd Rundgren, played bass in the reunion. Scandal released two albums: 1982's "Scandal" and 1984's "The Warrior."
8. Of the following, what group did not have all members perform together due to a legal issue involving the group's name?

Answer: Klymaxx

Klymaxx guitarist Cheryl Cooley assembled a new line-up and toured using the Klymaxx name without the other members knowing. In 2009, the remaining members received ownership of the Klymaxx name. Drummer Bernadette Cooper and bassist Joyce Irby assembled a new line-up and planned to release an album in 2009.
9. Who was the only group to have all members reunite and perform?

Answer: Motels

Jools Holland refused to participate in the Squeeze reunion, Kurt Harland would not perform with Information Society, and Kajagoogoo's Nick Beggs (who successfully reunited with his former bandmates in another episode) performed with the two members of ABC who reunited.
10. Who was the only member of New Kids on the Block to agree to a 2004 reunion?

Answer: Jordan Knight

McIntyre had reservations and said the only way to get back together was if the group had agreed; Wood and Wahlberg would not go on camera. Eventually, NKOTB would get back together and launched a world tour in 2008.
