The character Donna Ludlow died on the show from a heroin overdose in 1989.

3. What was the name of the elderly Polish Jewish immigrant who was a Holocaust survivor?

Felix Kawalaski was played by Harry Landis. On the show he later immigrated to Israel to be with a long lost sister he thought died in the concentration camps.

Blossom was part of the seniors club on the show mostly seen with Felix and Jules. She was the sweetheart of both of these men and she even went to live in Israel for a while with Felix.

The idea of Arthur having a mistress almost did not make it past the idea stage but it went on to be quite the series. Surely this was the biggest mistake Arthur made in all the years on the show till his death.

Lloyd Tavernier was a recurring character from 1990-92. The show portrayed the concerns of many blacks who struggle with the debilitating disease sickle-cell anemia. The family moved to Norwich with the exception of his grandfather Jules.

This had to be the most drawn out story line of all 'EastEnders' history. For years Michelle's own parents did not know and when she broke the news all was not well in Albert Square.

10. Who shot Phil Mitchell in the season of 2001?

Answer: Lisa Shaw

For 'EastEnders' this was quite suspenseful and it lasted for months before it was revealed that Lisa was the gunman and still much longer till Phil told Lisa that he knew she was the shooter. Oddly Phil realized that he pushed her to it and did not tell the police. He did however set up Dan Sullivan who was subsequently arrested only to be found not guilty in court.
