Everyone Has Parents- Part 1 Trivia Quiz

Answer: Jor-El

Kal-El is the name that Clark's biological parents, Lara and Jor-El, named him. Having no recollection of Krypton, Kal-El grew up only knowing Jonathan and Martha Kent as his parents, and Clark as his name.

Although pronounced just like the name "Laura", Lara was actually a loving mother who placed the infant Clark in the spaceship. Clark recollects this, with the help of Summerholt Neurological Institute's research facilities, in the season three episode "Memoria". Lara's only fear was that no one would ever love her son.

Laura Potter and her husband died in the meteor shower that brought Clark to Earth. Nell Potter is Laura's sister and Lana's aunt. Nell took Lana in, and ended up adopting and raising Lana. Nell moved away during season two in order to spend more time with her boyfriend, Dean. Lana lived at Chloe's house after that. Eventually, Lana got the apartment above the Talon.

Answer: A single tombstone

The tombstone, seen many times throughout season one, says "LANG" very large and clearly, with Lana's parents' first names smaller on each side. In addition, there most likely was nothing left of them after being hit directly with a meteor.

Gabe Sullivan, Chloe's father, works at Luthorcorp. Other than that, little is known about Chloe's parents. In the episode "Lineage", it is revealed that Chloe's mother left when Chloe was only a little girl. Chloe knows where she is, but she doesn't want anything to do with her.

Gabe Sullivan works at Luthorcorp, and is Chloe's only parent. Other than that, very little is known about him. Sometimes people refer to Chloe as "Gabe's daughter".

Answer: Lillian

Lillian Luthor had two children, Alexander (Lex) and Julian. Julian died as an infant, when Lillian actually murdered him by suffocating him! Lillian died of illness when Lex was approximately 12. Lionel and Lex mention her from time to time.

Answer: Lionel thought that Lex murdered Julian

In a very touching episode, "Memoria", Lex undergoes experimental procedures to try and regain his memory, and, in the process, remembers that he took the blame for the murder of his brother, in order to protect his mother. As Lex says to Lionel, Lillian "loved him [Julian] so much she couldn't bear the thought of subjecting him to your particular brand of parenting." Lex knew that Lionel wouldn't murder his only heir, but might hurt his wife.

Answer: Judge

Judge Ross was mentioned a few times in "Smallville", and even shown in one episode. It is because of Pete's mother's job that he has to move away at the end of season 3.

Answer: Principal Kwan

Ryan is the little boy who can read minds in the season 1 episode "Stray". Ryan reappears in the season 2 episode "Ryan", where it turns out that the reason he can read minds is a brain tumor, and he ends up dying because of it. In the season 2 episode "Skinwalker", Clark first discovers the caves, and falls in love with a Native American girl named Kyla. Kyla dies in Clark's arms (very heroic) near the end of the episode. Ian is the boy who can split himself into two, and ends up going to the insane asylum at the end of season 2's "Dichotic".

He reappears in "Asylum" as one of Clark's former opponents who know Clark's secret. As far as viewers know, he never died. Principal Kwan was murdered, however, when he was "crushed" (hence the episode title, "Crush") by a car.

The car was controlled by a telekinetic boy named Justin. This episode, "Crush" is also when Clark realizes that he may like Chloe as well as Lana, and Lana starts to get jealous. Lana decides in this episode that it's time to break up with Whitney, but Whitney's father's death is brought up before she gets the chance, and she never ends up ending the relationship.

Answer: "Time after Time" by Eva Cassidy

"Nothing To Do" was also played during this episode ("Crush"), but not during the ending scene in the graveyard. "Superman" by Five For Fighting was played as the ending song during the episode "Stray". "Everything" by Lifehouse was the song that Lana and Whitney danced to in the episode "Tempest (1)".

The scene where "Time After Time" was playing was very touching. It was raining, which made the whole idea of Whitney's father's death even more clear. During this scene, Clark and Lana exchanged meaningful glances, and the words of the song reflected Lana always going to "be there" for Whitney, and Clark always going to "be there" for Lana.

Answer: Jason's mother

Jason's mother, Genevieve Teague, arrives unexpectedly in Smallville to visit her son, and Lana, his new girlfriend. Jason has a very complicated relationship with his mother, but in the end has devoted his life to helping her find the three stones.

Answer: Lana's biological father

Lana thought, for the majority of her childhood, that both of her parents had died. In reality, her mother and her mother's husband had died, but while Lana's parents were separated for about one year (the year before Lana was born), Laura Potter was having an affair with Henry Small, who turns out, in the episode "Skinwalker", to share Lana's DNA. Lex's mother died from an unidentified illness when he was young. Jor-El is actually dead, believe it or not.

His memory still seems pretty alive, though, and has an extreme amount of control over Clark.

Answer: Hereafter

This was a tougher one, as all of these episodes are sequential and deal with Jonathan's heart one way or another. At the very end of "Hereafter", Clark offers to take the cookies Martha made out to the barn for his father, and Martha jokingly tells Clark to make sure that some of the cookies actually make it there.

When Clark arrives in the barn with the cookies, Jonathan has had a heart attack. In "Obsession", the following episode, we find out for sure that a heart attack is what it was, and Clark starts to feel guilty, as it was most likely having the powers that Jor-El temporarily gave Jonathan that weakened his heart.

In "Velocity", Jonathan needs to have surgery for his heart.

Answer: He is blind

Lionel doesn't remain blind forever, but during his blindness lives at the Luthor Mansion, and discovers the very intriguing Clark Kent.
