When not fighting crime, the Tick followed other virtuous pursuits. The students later helped him out in a big battle.

He shares an apartment with his loyal sidekick, Arthur. The state in which The City stands is never named.
5. In "Sidekics Don't Kiss," a baseball team crashed in the mountains and adopted the language of the Aztecs. Or so they thought. When the players kidnapped Arthur, what phrase did they repeat?

Answer: Itlan, Itlan!

They said this at the end of every sentence. The Tick had to rescue Arthur.
6. In the season two episode "Bloomsday", what is the villain El Seed looking for?

Answer: A 400-year-old bloom

El Seed first appeared in season one. He tried to use mutant corn to conquer the world.
7. In "The Tick vs. Europe", why did the Tick go to Belgium?

Answer: To fight the villain Octopaganini

The Tick's sidekick, Arthur, also had work to do. He fought the enemy Breadmaster.
8. How did the Tick get assigned to the place where he worked?

Answer: It was awarded to him at a convention

The National Super Institute Convention, held in Reno, Nevada, is shown in the very first episode, "The Tick vs. the Idea Men". The Tick manages to blow up a device called the Cabinet of Terror, but survives, thus impressing the judges at the event.
9. In the Tick's world, there were also a number of other superheroes. One of them was part of several ambitious but fruitless capers. These included attempting to trap Dinosaur Neil in a giant pair of pants, and thwarting a wave of ants by luring them with a candy bar. Who was this well-meaning but unlucky adventurer?

Answer: Doctor Strangepants

The name derives from the classic film "Dr. Strangelove", which starred Peter Sellers. Strangepants was called in to lasso Dinosaur Neil during Neil's brief foray into evil. It didn't work. Later, he tried to keep ants from swarming over the town, by waving a giant chocolate bar over them. In both cases, it was the Tick who eventually saved the day. However, it never hurts to try.
10. In the season two episode, "Evil Sits Down for a Moment", what villain had the power to control furniture?

Answer: The Ottoman

He wanted to join forces with the character Die Fledermaus to take over the world. After all, who doesn't use furniture? The scheme did not succeed, however. Die Fledermaus was a superhero who sometimes worked with the Tick, and he chose to stick to his roots of goodness.
