At the planet Khurtanan, everyone is checked for transmissible celestial dementia, or "space madness" as John calls it. Scorpius checks out, but Dr. Tumii tells him that his Scarran ancestry disallows him from coming to the planet. John says, "Hit the road Space Invader."

Dr. Tumii enters the dining area where everyone is gobbling up some mollusks and says, "Did I forget to mention not to share the Qatal mollusks? They're to be eaten whole. Should the flesh be divided among different stomachs, the food poisoning that results is fatal." Turns out they all share each others feelings and pains if they shared a mollusk. D'Argo and Noranti shared the purple one and both keep sneezing. Aeryn and Rygel shared the green one, and Aeryn keeps farting. John and Sikozu (who only eats ten times a cycle and this happened to be one of them) ate the yellow one and John is getting cramps from all the food Sikozu ate.

The doctor blackmails them for a cure, and reminds them the symptoms they have are similar to space madness, for which they would be shot on sight.

Tumii has a habit of explaining everything in detail. When he says he will explain how the Qatal mollusk works, John says, "Please don't. We give up. We'll pay." Tumii goes on to say the mollusks are neurally linked and when split up and digested try to bond together again, which is how everyone is linked and will eventually die. John interrupts, saying, "Who cares? Take the money... Cure us," and "We'll pay double if you shut up."

Noranti, back on Moya, starts to experience extreme pleasure and D'Argo, down on the planet, feels it too. John tells him, "D, think about baseball, math, isosceles triangle. Rusty razor blades, gravel..."

They have to pay Tumii for the cure, and he tells them they must ingest the same color mollusk they had before, mixed with the other one's urine and orally ingest it. Then they must have flesh to flesh contact so the mollusk's bacteria can migrate.

John and Rygel find themselves in the middle of a female rebellion on the male dominated world. Sikozu and Aeryn go and attempt to find the rebels who have the needed mollusks but are captured. Rygel and John feel the beating the girls get and Rygel says, "Crichton, I think the girls are in trouble." John says, "That's brilliant, Holmes."

Answer: Dress in drag

John and Rygel dress in drag to go to the club where they wouldn't be allowed in unless they are high officials. John tells Rygel, "I am not going as Maid Marion!" He does, and Rygel goes for the clams while John tries to find the girls.

Chiana learns their mechanic Mujombre, who is working on Moya, is a female, not a male, and when her boss overhears, he pulls a gun on her. Chiana stands between them and before Chiana is shot, Scorpius breaks the soldier's neck. Scorpius then eats all the mollusks to prevent the final stages of the disease from killing John and the others.

Sikozu's finger is cut off to make John yell and blow his cover, but he manages to keep his cool, despite the pain. One officer does attempt to get to know John a little better while he's dressed in drag, but in the end, John gives himself away to make a distraction for the escape by saying, "Do any of you have one of these under your skirt?" He then lifts his dress and pulls out... Winona, and starts shooting up the place.

Rygel bites Tumii's nose off (part of it anyway) and then later force feeds the doctor some mollusk and tells him he's going to leave the rest in the garbage for the "drozil flies or a wild flibisk."
