Through the course of the opening credits/theme song, each of the main characters is introduced in this order: Isaac, Miria, Firo, Maiza, Keith, Berga, Luck, Szilard, Ennis, Lua, Ladd, Chane, Nice, Jacuzzi, Eve, Dallas, and Czeslaw. We do see some other characters during the credits who do not get named in them even though they might be a big part of the show.

Huey and Chane are father and daughter. Mary is Senator Beriam's daughter and Czeslaw is another passenger on the train, since they're both children they ended up sticking together on the train for a little bit. As far as the anime is concerned, Isaac and Miria's relationship isn't defined, they do have different last names so they could be a couple (my vote!), good friends, or possibly relatives. Eve and Dallas are the two Genoard siblings; Eve is a nice girl while Dallas is a thug.

Graham Spector met Ladd Russo when Ladd was sent to "have a talk" with someone at the garage where Spector worked. Lua is Ladd's fiance whose only purpose in life is to be killed by Ladd. Placido Russo is the current head of the Russo family and Ladd's uncle. Claire Stanfield is an assassin for the Gandor Family who helped Ladd jump off the moving train.

Chick is the Gandor's torture technician. Sometimes called the Gandor's fourth sibling, he was known for most of the anime as Claire Stanfield. However, he also calls himself The Rail Tracer or Vino. He has been known to change his name from time to time.

In the first OVA (sometimes considered episode 14), Huey has a flashback of 1922 when he tells Chane that he is going to tell her part of his secret that only he knows about with certain conditions. He asks her if she would like him to give her something in exchange for taking on the burden and she asks him to take away her voice so she can better protect the knowledge he gives her.

The Flying Dutchman as we know is the pirate ship captained by Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean. The Transcontinental Express is basically the route The Flying Pussyfoot is taking--non-stop cross continent. The Flying Fastfoot is just made up. I should mention that the Lemures' are a cult following Huey Laforet, in reality they just really want to be immortal.

The Daily Days is a newspaper company who specialize in information brokerage. Some guys from the Runorata's try to get info from them about Dallas but in exchange the brokers want info from them too. There are at least four active information brokers mentioned in the anime, Rachel, Elean, Sugarcubes, and Nicholas. Also, there is the President, Vice-President, and his assistant Carol.

Norio Wakamoto is Gustav's Japanese seiyu. Kent Williams is the English Seiyu. The Molly Pitcher Club was a women's organization opposed to the prohibition of alcohol named after an American Revolutionary War folklore heroine.

In episode 5, Firo cuts Maiza's left arm drawing blood effectively ending the duel. The proctor tells them that stabbing the head or chest is prohibited. If it does occur he will kill the one who breaks the rules. After the fight, Firo notices that the blood stops fairly quickly and the wound closes up itself.
