Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who greeted the prospective Kappa Tau Gamma pledges when they arrived at the Kappa Tau house during Rush?

Answer: Wade

When the guys arrived at the house, they were greeted by Kappa Tau Gamma Rush chair Wade, who was holding a butcher's knife in his hand. He ordered that everyone who has heard of Kappa Tau's reputation to leave immediately, which left Rusty and Calvin alone in the dark house. Wade then led the two scared freshmen outside to a wild and crazy party secretly hosted by Kappa Tau.

He said that they prefer "virgins". It is at this party that Rusty met both The Beaver and the Kappa Tau Gamma President Cappie. Rusty also has his first taste of tequila. Calvin met Kappa Tau brother Heath which led to them hooking up later on.
2. What actor guest starred on "Greek" playing the role of Rusty's physics professor Dr. Milton Hastings?

Answer: Dan Castellaneta

Dan Castellaneta guests stars on "Greek" as the uptight physics professor of Rusty and Dale but most people would know him for his voice rather than his actual appearance. He gives life to the character Homer Simpson on the long running series "The Simpsons". Dr. Hastings makes two appearances in season one.

The first in episode two "Hazed and Confused" and the second in episode seven "Multiple Choice".
3. Evan rented a room at the University Inn for him and Casey to spend the night together after the military mixer.

Answer: False

It was really Casey who rented the room for them to spend the night together after the Omega Chi Delta/Zeta Beta Zeta military mixer. Following the advice of Frannie, Casey tried to seduce Evan but realized that she couldn't forgive Evan for cheating on her during Rush.

Instead of having sex, they just cuddled in bed and watch "Frasier". Ironically, the actress who plays Casey Cartwright (Spencer Grammer) is the daughter of Kelsey Grammer who starred on the hit series.
4. What was on the sign that Dale was holding at the Omega Chi Delta/Kappa Tau Gamma floor hockey finals?

Answer: "78"

After embarrassing himself at the last game and being relegated to water boy, Rusty really wanted to show to Cappie and the rest of the Kappa Tau brothers that he could play. With Dale's help, Rusty used his brain rather than his non-existent brawn to figure out that in order to make the goal, he needed to hit the ball at 73 degrees.

Unfortunately, Rusty still couldn't make the shot and accepted the fact that he was no good at floor hockey. When Rusty arrived with the drunken Kappa Taus on the day of the game, Dale informed him that the math was wrong and it was really 78 degrees not 73. So when Rusty was called into the game in the final seconds, he used Dale's advice to make the goal and win the game. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that Rusty wasn't wearing a cup and Kappa Tau was disqualified.
5. In what year was Kappa Tau Gamma's Mt. Vesuvius volcano built?

Answer: 1999

The Mt. Vesuvius volcano was built in 1999 by the legendary Kappa Tau brother Egyptian Joe to celebrate Homecoming. According to Cappie, he was inspired by some "special" brownies and a marathon of "Real World: Hawaii". The volcano made Kappa Tau Gamma's party the biggest on Greek Row breaking several fire ordinances and even one law of physics last year alone.

After eight years at Cyprus-Rhodes University, Joe was forced to leave but he did leave behind an instruction manual for the volcano. Unfortunately for Rusty, who was appointed to fix the volcano in time for the big party, Joe was a poetry major and his instructions was basically just a notebook full of haikus and lists of girls' bra sizes.
6. What was the name of the deceased Zeta Beta Zeta sister that Casey, Ashleigh and the ZBZ pledges were trying to make contact with?

Answer: Virginia Horton

While Frannie and the other ZBZ sisters were away at a football game one stormy night, Casey threw a surprise slumber party for the ZBZ pledges. In an attempt to gain favor in her bid for ZBZ president by winning the girls over. Unfortunately for her, the pledges with the exception of Jen K. were less than thrilled with the list of bonding activities that Casey had planned for them. Rebecca, in an attempt to thrawt Casey's plans decided to tell ghost stories. With the pledges' attention on Rebecca and her stories, Casey hoped that Ashleigh could possibly help her regain control but Ashleigh instead brings up Virginia Horton. Ironically, earlier in the night Rebecca pulled out the Ouija board and it spelled out V-I-R-G-I-N.

The girls now more spooked than before searched the house for more information on Virginia.

It was revealed that Virginia, like Casey was the ZBZ pledge educator and she also ran for president in 1998. Tragically after she lost the election by one vote, Virginia committed suicide by hanging herself on the chandelier in the foyer of the ZBZ house.

Her memorial plaque hanged in the living room of the house above the fireplace.
7. In episode seven "Multiple Choice" the character of Rebecca Logan does not appear but her whereabouts were mentioned. Where was she?

Answer: Her father sent her to a luxurious spa

When Frannie, Casey, Ashleigh and the other ZBZ sisters were in the library to prepare for midterms, Frannie got a text message from Rebecca. Frannie told the girls "Oh my God, Rebecca just got a grape seed brown sugar rub." "I wish my dad would sent me to Canyon Ranch to recover from midterms". Casey sarcastically responded by saying "It's a gift to us all". Rebecca along with Dale are the only two of the eight main characters not to appear in all 10 episodes of season one. Dale did not appear in episode six "Friday Night Frights".
8. What was the title of the play that the Zeta Beta Zeta sisters put on for Dale's Bible Bunch group?

Answer: "Leading a Good Life"

Due to the departure of the Zeta Beta Zeta Philanthropy chair, the sorority was severely behind in their community service hours but luckily there was an after school program that needed some help. Casey appointed herself to set something up. To her surprise the program was run by Dale, her brother Rusty's roommate. Casey taking advantage of the fact that Dale had a crush on her convinces him to let the girls put on a play.

The play was called "Leading a Good Life" which according to Casey was a educational musical that would teach the children good wholesome Christian values. Which to Dale was a big plus since the Bible Bunch kids were to him seriously at risk, some of the them were actually atheists.
9. What was Cappie's case number in the psychological study?

Answer: 8675309

Trying to earn some fast cash, Cappie signed up to participate in a psychological study at the university. The study called for him to be locked up in a room for 30 hours with no sleep and answer various questions asked to him by one of the psychology students.

The student who was to be paired with Cappie was none other than Rebecca. Rebecca was none too pleased to have to spend a day alone with the guy that she called the "Rob Thomas guy". When the professor hands her Cappie's file, he says his number 8675309. 8675309 is an allusion to the 1982 hit song "867-5309/Jenny" by the band Tommy Tutone.

At first shown being antagonistic towards each other by the end of the 30 hours, Cappie and Rebecca grew closer so much so that Cappie asked her to give Casey the $300 that he owed her. Out of her new found respect for Cappie she agreed. Through the experiment, Rebecca is also the only person on campus who knows Cappie's real name.
10. What was the gift that Ashleigh brought to the Omega Chi house to give to Calvin?

Answer: A decorated picture frame

After confessing her feelings to Calvin only to find out that he was gay, a humiliated Ashleigh broke off their friendship. After talking to Casey and coming to her senses, Ashleigh goes to the Omega Chi house to give Calvin a decorated picture frame with a picture of her and Calvin inside as an "I'm sorry" gift. Unfortunately Calvin wasn't there and when the guys mistake Ashleigh for his girlfriend, she accidentally blurted out that Calvin was gay.

When Ashleigh finally met up with Calvin at the bar, she tells him what happened and apologized. Calvin thinking Ashleigh out of spite told his secret angrily walked off. Calvin upon returning to the house sees that all the guys were not too happy with him which led him take off his Omega Chi pin and leave the house.
