Answer: Moses

The name of Jed's mother-in-law, referred to as Granny, was Daisy May Moses. The shotgun toting mother-in-law was a true daughter of Dixie in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series. The term "Dixie" was derived from Jeremiah Dixon, a surveyor of the Mason-Dixon line.

Answer: Bloodhound

In "The Beverly Hillbillies," Duke was an old bloodhound that Jed bought for four bits (50 cents) when it was a puppy. In some of the early episodes, Jethro tried to teach Duke to fetch sticks but to Jed it looked as if Duke was teaching Jethro how to do the trick. Later, Duke was the sire of puppies born to a French Poodle that was brought in to mate with the Drysdale's French Poodle, Claude.

10. What was the name of Elly May Clampett's pet raccoon in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series?

Answer: Elmer

11. In "The Beverly Hillbillies" television series, what did the Clampett family think their new mansion was when they first arrived?

Answer: A prison

When the Clampett family first arrived at their new mansion in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series, they thought it was a prison because of the front gates. Jethro stated he had seen pictures of prisons that had gates in front. The Clampett family thought the gardeners were inmates who had killed the prison guards with tools and were trying to escape, so they held them at gunpoint until the police arrived. Of course, Mr. Drysdale had to explain the mix-up in order to get the Clampett family out of jail.

A 1938 French neoclassical-style mansion was used to film "The Beverly Hillbillies." It was actually located at 750 Bel Air Road in Los Angeles. The mansion was built by Lynn Atkinson and later it was sold to Arnold Kirkeby who agreed with the production crew of "The Beverly Hillbillies" to let them use his estate if the actual address was not publicized.

However, the address did leak out and the tourists became a problem. To date, the entrance way to the mansion has been relocated and the mansion can no longer be seen from the road.
12. What did the Clampett family do the first time the doorbell rang at their mansion in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series?

Answer: Look up at the walls and ceiling

When the doorbell first rang in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series, the Clampett family looked up at the walls and ceiling to try and find out where the music was coming from. Later, they discovered that every time the music played someone would come to the front door (maybe they thought the passerby heard the music and wanted to come to the concert - or in their limited knowledge of musical gatherings, a hoedown or a shindig).
13. What did the family use in "The Beverly Hillbillies" to pass the food at their fancy eating table?

Answer: Pool stick

The fancy eating table in "The Beverly Hillbillies" was the billiard table (pool table) in the billiard room. They used the pool sticks and bridges to pass the food to each other. Jethro thought the pool table pockets were designed for people to have a place to put their food scraps (bones).
14. What kind of animal did Jed Clampett compare Jethro to because of his teeth in "The Beverly Hillbillies" TV series?

Answer: Beaver

Jed mentioned in one episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies" that Jethro was the only baby he knew born with a full set of teeth "just like a beaver". Max Baer, Jr. claimed he only auditioned for the role of Jethro for fun and that he never expected to get the part. Maybe he clinched the part largely because of his grin. Jethro appeared in 272 of 274 episodes.

He was not in the third or second-to-last episodes, but Max Baer, Jr. was still credited.
15. What did Milburn Drysdale do in "The Beverly Hillbillies" television series when he had anxiety attacks?

Answer: Sniff a stack of money

He forced others, especially his secretary, to appease the Clampett's by granting their unorthodox requests so that they would leave Jed's money in his bank.

Although his wife Margaret had obvious disdain for the "peasant" hillbillies, she tacitly agreed to tolerate them rather than have Milburn lose their ever growing bank account.
