Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the episode "Will The Real Adolf Please Stand Up", who plays Adolf Hitler?

Answer: Larry Hovis

Carter's impression of Hitler convinces Hogan to have him pretend that the Fuhrer is coming to visit Stalag 13. Dixon played Kinchloe and Askin played General Burkhalter on the show, while Sheard portrayed Hitler in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
2. In "Klink's Rocket," what is the name of the town Carter keeps forgetting to mention?

Answer: Leadingham

Carter makes a shambles of Hogan's plan, when he substitutes "Ham-leading" for the name of the targeted town.
3. In "Art For Hogan's Sake," General Burkhalter confiscated a painting for Goering's birthday, "The Boy With The Fife." Who painted it?

Answer: Edouard Manet

When Hogan tries to convince LeBeau that he doesn't want to return it either, Kinch adds "Yea, no Frenchman ever gave up something worth less than a million without a fight."
4. In "The Great Brinksmeyer Robbery," what does Hogan claim to be his name in an effort to convince the bank manager he is a legitimate business owner?

Answer: Herr Baylor

(After listening to Hitler on the radio-)
Mady: "The speech is over!"
Hogan: "I like his longer ones."
Mady: "Maybe he did not have anything to say."
Hogan: "Never stopped him before."
5. In "The Swing Shift," Newkirk enlists in the German army, and is almost deployed to Stalag 13 as a guard. What symptom does he complain of at the doctor's office?

Answer: His "bad back"

Reluctantly, Hogan's tricks get Newkirk transferred back to the factory, so they can complete their mission, and return to camp. Of course, if complaining doesn't do it for Newkirk, sneezing will always get Klink not to recognize him. During the physical examination, he passes the color vision test, so he couldn't use that as an excuse to be discharged.
6. In "Heil Klink," we are introduced to a character who returns to Stalag 13 often throughout the duration of the series. He is played by Howard Caine, who is he?

Answer: Major Hochstetter

Despite the numerous times he meets Hogan, every episode you see Hochstetter, he always asks firmly: "Who is this man?!?" Howard Caine, (Hochstetter), first appeared in season one, as Major Keitel, an Anti-Aircraft battery commander.
7. What city is Schultz conned by Hogan into making a trip to, in an effort to deliver radio parts to the underground in "Killer Klink?"

Answer: Heidelberg

Klink allows Schultz to go to town for a few days. Prior to his departure, his wife arrives at the camp, and thinks that Schultz is bringing her flowers. However, Schultz has other plans in mind, and in a display of outrage, Schultz tries to smash the potplant containing the radio parts. Luckily Hogan is there to stop him.
8. In "Reverend Kommandant Klink," A fighter pilot is captured and interrogated. Hogan tries to save him from cracking under pressure by arranging a marriage for him and his girlfriend. What is the pilot's nationality?

Answer: French

Hogan advises LeBeau on how to avoid looking up all his old flames: "Ration yourself." The French pilot, Lt. Bouchet, appears often throughout the duration of the series, and his role changes just as frequently.
9. In the episode "Everyone Has A Brother-In-Law", where do Hogan's men wire the detonator used to blow up the railroad?

Answer: A telephone box

To make things easier for Hogan and his men, Captain Kurtz tries to call for help, and incidentally blows up the munitions train. They capture him, and send him to England. Meanwhile, Hogan informs Burkhalter that his brother-in-law was blown up in the disaster, so the General calls for a war hero's funeral.
10. In the episode "Tanks for the Memory" which of Hogan's men drive the radio- controlled tank?

Answer: Louis LeBeau

To sabotage the tank's future plans of production, Hogan's men put some dynamite inside and blow the tank up during the demonstration.
