Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Bob, the anchor at the local news station, why isn't Serena's murder shown to the public?

Answer: Her parents are suing

As the news continues to build and Beverly Hope reports on the frightening and tragic events in the city's local neighbourhoods, she warns locals to hold onto their safety as the hunt for Meadow Wilton continues. Bob, at the station, tells her to stop creating fake news; she needs to stop scaring viewers, especially since crime rates are actually down.

She argues that Serena's death still hasn't hit the airwaves, but Bob doesn't want to sensationalize the event, especially with her parents suing the station.

He tries to fire her, but she blackmails him with the info of his and Serena's relationship before leaving.
2. In determining a better way to make the clown killings more frightening, he asks his followers to make them more what?

Answer: Satanic

Kai's following gathers in his basement and Winter informs them that because there is no poll for city council seats, there's no way to know if Kai is going to get the votes, especially with low voter awareness. Kai knows that as long as they spread enough fear, then a leader shall rise up to secure their grip on the sheep-like populace; he needs that council seat. Kai tells the others that they need to be bolder, and Beverly says they need to get people to see something grandiose, but Bob gets the impression she's compromised as a reporter. Kai's solution is simple; they need to kill Bob in the most satanic way possible and RJ needs to film it.

The meeting comes to a close just as Ivy arrives in the basement, late to the festivities.
3. Ivy's departure sparked the reemergence of which of Ally's fears?

Answer: Fear of holes

Ally tells Dr. Vincent that she's been having horrible nightmares. The previous night she dreamt that she had marks on her neck and, after scratching them, found that they contained long bugs. She woke up to find that she'd scratched herself raw. Dr. Vincent knows that her fears are deeply rooted in her subconscious, and this could have only been expected. Ally is simply angry with everything because she let everything happen; she misses her son and she regrets being tempted.

She confides in her therapist-- Ivy canceled all the credit cards and, as it would seem, must've prepared to leave.

She closed down everything so fast. It's not as though there weren't warning signs though-- in September, she had a particularly concerning interaction with Ally that should've clued her in.
4. Ally is allowed to have supervised visits with Oz.

Answer: True

Dr. Vincent tells Ally to work on things she can personally control and she says that she finally got the chance to have a supervised visit with Oz at the restaurant. The meeting was awkward, with Ally not knowing how to react to her own son. She begs the doctor to help her get her son back. That night, Ivy has Oz spend the night at a friend's place while she drives Winter to the next part of their missing. Winter says that things are going to get real and radical soon, but Ivy's game for it; radicals, Ivy claims, are the only people who see results, and she's ready to bring the country down.
5. What do the clowns find in Bob's attic?

Answer: A man

Kai and his followers reach their destination and prepare for the main event-- they need to kill Bob and chant 'Ave Satanas' on their video to ensure that people get afraid. Dressed as clowns, they sneak into Bob's house and find him in the kitchen. Bob draws a knife from the kitchen knife block to defend himself, but he's overwhelmed. Before he's killed, he informs the killers of the gimp in the attic. Sure enough, when they head upstairs, they find a man suspended from the ceiling by hooks, a mask covering his ears and face.

The clowns vote on whether or not they let the man go, but Kai stabs him in the chest, tearing him from his suspension and killing him. Ivy, visibly shaken by the murders, runs to the washroom to vomit and Winter follows her.

The others stay behind to finish the job though, with several of the clowns taking their stabs at the anchorman and Beverly dealing the final blow. That evening, Beverly reports on the murder and Bob's death is shown onscreen.
6. Who, according to Beverly, is a cancer amongst the group and needs to be removed?

Answer: RJ

Kai and Beverly chat at the Butchery on Main about Bob's murder and they worry that the others are asking too many questions and not simply acting. Beverly tells Kai that they'll all heel if they kill the weakest link who, based on the murder, would be Ivy because of her squeamishness.

They recall five weeks earlier when they locked two people into coffins in their house, drilling them into the caskets. Back then, RJ seemed to be the weak link, and she feels the same way now. The choice seems to be made. Ally, meanwhile, cleans Oz's room until a sound at her window distracts her; Harrison is outside. Taking Oz's telescope, she watches as Harrison loads some hefty, choice items into the house from the trunk of his car...and then kisses Detective Samuels in the living room.
7. Who does Ally find in the grave on the Wilton property?

Answer: Meadow

Ally heads over to the Wilton house and sneaks into the garage and through to the backyard with a baseball bat in hand to find a grave dug in the lawn. Peering inside, she sees Meadow laying in the bottom, alive, and as Meadow awakens she begs for her help. Ally heads home and calls 911 before closing the curtains and, when she can't get through to the cops, to Ivy. Ivy tells her not to call her about her irrational fear of holes, but doesn't hear anything in the background of the call as Meadow bangs on the window, asking Ally for her help and asserting that everyone they know is a member of a horrible cult-- including Ivy. Meadow is grabbed from behind and a bag is placed over her head as Ally hangs up the phone.
8. After Bob's murder, Kai excels in the city council straw polls.

Answer: True

Ivy is actually with the rest of the cult when Ally's call comes through, and when Harrison and Detective Samuels arrive for their meeting, Meadow isn't with them. Kai enters with good news-- he's up 10 points in the straw poll, putting him up against all other candidates after Bob's murder and the exposure of the clowns in the news.

But they're not done-- nowhere near it-- and they have to solve a problem then and there. In the other room, they find RJ taped to a chair, and while many of them, like Ivy, worry that they're killing one of their own, most of them know how close to the brink they could be with a single phone call giving themselves away.
9. According to Kai, there's a world record for a total of thirteen for which of these?

Answer: Nails in a human skull

Since Ivy ran out on the previous murder, Kai has her wield a nail gun first, telling them all that the world record is thirteen to the head and that they'll take turns. While she's worried to do it, she's backed into a corner and forced to prove her allegiance or else, likely, face the same fate as RJ.

She fires, and slowly the others step forward to do the same, one at a time. Kai is placated by their work and then fires a shot directly into RJ's medulla oblongata. Shortly after this, Kai and Beverly perform the pinky promise. Kai asks her about her fears, but Beverly instead asks him the questions-- she wants to know about his family.

She wants to know the truth about his past because the secrets will make him weaker...so he tells her.
10. For how many years have Kai's parents been dead?

Answer: Three

Three years earlier, Kai and Winter's father was hurt in an accident and it made him weak. Jobless, Kai would sit in the basement and browse Reddit's Red Pill forum and then, one night, the gunshots rang out. Upstairs, his mother had fired a gun into his father's stomach before committing suicide, claiming it was the only way out.

Instead of calling the cops, Kai called his brother, Vincent, whose psychology career would be taking off. Vincent reasoned that with Winter starting college and his work taking off, they couldn't let anything happen, so the solution would be to leave their parents in bed and cover them with lye to let them naturally decompose.

They needed the money from their parents' pension and disability cheques, and informing the government was not an option. Vincent made Kai perform a pinky promise; they told Winter later on, and to stay in school she had to keep her mouth shut. They're still locked in the bedroom.
