Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A shooting occurs during Kai's rally. Who is found wielding the gun?

Answer: Ally

Kai speaks onstage as gunshots ring out at his city council rally and Ivy, in shock, tries to hide and duck for cover. As she takes shelter behind a fountain, Harrison grabs her and tells her to run. She's too afraid, though, waiting until a team of police officers scan through the crowd and subdue the shooter.

It's Ally. She shakily drops the gun and drops to her knees while Kai lays on the stage, unmoving. Some of the shooting was obviously spurred by the night Ally found Meadow in the grave dug in the backyard of the Wilton household. Meadow, attempting to escape, across to Ally's place to bang on the windows and inform her about the cult, and while she couldn't be saved from her attackers, the message came through loud and clear.
2. Where does Ally find Meadow after she's captured from outside her window?

Answer: Garage

Ally received a call from Dr. Vincent shortly after Meadow's appearance; Ivy told him that she was acting odd and he decided to call immediately. He advised her to get some sleep to avoid having another episode, and while she agreed to, she instead decided to get to work immediately, grabbing a can of mace and a knife from the kitchen before walking back over to the Wilton household and sneaking in a side window. Inside, with Harrison and Detective Samuels occupied, Ally stole the keys to the garage, finding Meadow and freeing her from her restraints.

As Meadow grabbed her purse on the way out though, she knocked over a tray of tools, alerting the men to the escape attempt. Fortunately, with the can of mace in hand, she duo escaped in Ally's car.
3. According to Meadow, what was inside the chemical trucks driving throughout the city?

Answer: Water

Ally and Meadow ended up at the Butchery on Main to find the alarm going off, and after shutting off the system, Ally sat down her freed prisoner and told her to talk. Meadow admitted a lot; Ivy had been with them for a while, working on Ally as a project to drive her mad, even being involved in the guinea pig debacle. Meadow also admits that the cult was behind the chemical trucks, only the trucks were filled with water-- not chemicals-- and they killed the birds by poisoning their feeders. All of it was to make sure that the people of the city were more pliable for the takeover. Ally refused to believe that Ivy would join such a thing since she'd never believed in any insane cause, but Meadow assured her, it was all for Kai.
4. Meadow admits to personally killing the Changs.

Answer: True

Ally and Meadow turned on the television to find Kai already at a city council debate. Kai, she said, already knew a lot about Ally. In fact, he paid the protestors to be outside the Butchery the day he forced them all away. Meadow went on to explain that she'd always loved Harrison, but she never knew true love until she met Kai and he took an interest in her sketches.

He praised her for her work, and when she killed the former owners of their house, he embraced her for the first time. He double-crossed her though, when she went down into the basement to show him a new sketch, she found him giving Ivy the same speech he'd given her. That was when she decided to leave. She didn't get far though.

As she packed her things, Kai, Harrison, and Detective Samuels found her and got the truth out of her before deciding that perhaps something bad needed to happen to her. If Ally hadn't found her, Meadow insists, then she would've been buried alive.

They need to kill Kai to end it.
5. Kai, during a City Council debate, claimed to be which of these?

Answer: Conservative

On the day of the City Council debate, Kai spoke with passion to a crowd of listeners about the frightening things happening in the city. Sally Keffler, a local woman, stood up to him though, claiming that she thought he was a snake oil salesman, spreading lies.

When he stood up and claimed to be a conservative, she knocked him down, saying that she knew a conservative when she saw one; he was simply a fly landing on the garbage brought about by the last years in the country, and she suggested she could be the one to haul that trash away.

She informed him that she would be running for the same seat as he would be, though she would be a write-in candidate. They shook hands and wished each other luck.
6. What, according to Ivy, fills her with dread?

Answer: Ally

The day after the election, Winter and Ivy discussed the fact that Gary Longstreet appeared at the polling station, even though they had him tied up; he'd cut off his own arm to vote. Ivy worried that she'd be sent to prison and Oz would be taken from her custody, but Winter assured her that all would be fine once she spoke to Kai. Kai sat her down at the table in the basement and simply asked her for the truth, telling her that he helped Gary 'free himself', and she could speak to him willingly or not.

He asked her to tell the truth about the things that filled her with dread, and she told him that the new President was at the top of her list. He realized it was a lie though, and changed her answer to the thought of laying in bed next to her wife.
7. Who carried Oz in their womb?

Answer: Ally

Ivy told Kai everything about when she started hating Ally. After Ally brought Oz into their life, carrying him in her womb (since Ivy could not due to her endometriosis), she realized that Ally saw the child as her own, and not both of theirs. Things escalated as Ally's self-centered choices made her seemingly more important in their child's life, and and her fears only made her a less bearable person. Ivy asserted that she would do anything to get out, but only if she could have Oz as well. She would never want him to have to go through the loss of a parent. Kai told her that they would need to make sure that she just couldn't get custody. Ally brought Meadow to Dr. Vincent's office, asking him to bill her for two hours and take care of her while she did a few things.
8. Sally Keffler did not believe Ally when she said there was a cult.

Answer: False

In her home, Sally Keffler poured herself a drink as a knocking came to her door. She brought a gun with her to answer the banging, but found that it was Ally, looking to speak to someone. She told Sally that Kai was the leader of a cult, sort of like a modern day Charles Manson, and sure enough, Sally believed her claim, saying that Kai never seemed to be any good, but it was almost a natural progression that someone would emerge to harness peoples' fear for their own gains.

As Sally confirmed she would help, the clowns broke in.
9. Where was Sally Keffler's suicide note left?

Answer: On Facebook

Ally ran to the safety of the deeper rooms of the house, but Sally stayed behind only to get subdued and speak to Kai face-to-face...before he shot her and staged the suicide.
When the gunshot was fired and Sally Keffler was killed, it was Ivy who was told to search the house for the scream that followed. Eventually, Ivy found Ally hiding in a bathroom, and when Ally recognized exactly who'd been sent to find her, it seemed as though Ivy couldn't finish the job.
Ally returned to Dr. Vincent's office to find that Meadow had departed not long after she was dropped off, and Dr. Vincent couldn't force her to stay. She simply received a call and departed. The doctor recommended that Ally check herself into an in-patient facility before she left.
10. Where was Kai shot during his rally?

Answer: Leg

Ally walks up to the stage during Kai's rally as he pledges never to leave his followers like Sally Keffler did. She spies Meadow walking forward as well, drawing a gun from her handbag and firing at people in the crowd before shooting Kai in the leg. Ally tries to take the gun from her hand, but Meadow turns it on herself, saying that hers is the face of true love before firing the weapon and killing herself.
After Kai had Meadow tied up, he removed her bindings and embraced her once more, claiming that while she was nobody to everyone else, she was the only one who could elevate him to the national stage. He needed to be assassinated; he needed her to fail to kill him.
Ally is apprehended by the cops and taken into the police car as Kai is put on a stretcher and placed into an ambulance. Ivy watches on in disappointment and shock.
